Re: Bustin Sojourn
I'm considering getting a Sojourn and have some questions for the guys that have ridden them. First I want a board that can do some pretty hard carving and sharp turns, how does the Sojourn perform and with what trucks would be best? I was thinking Randal 150s with 70mm free ride wheels like O'tang Stimulus or maybe Retro Freerides. Would this setup also be good for sliding and general commuting?
Thanks for the help,
Josh

The Sojourn is a hybrid deck designed wide for slides and with an adjustable wheelbase for carves or better nose/tail function. I prefer the board with Randal 150's and Otang Fat Frees. Fun and responsive. Great for commuting and a fun moderate hill slider.

Re: Bustin Sojourn
I ride mine with Randal 180s and retro flashbacks. Running it with a smaller hanger would seem a little sketchy to me. Also you're able to run larger wheels without having to worry about the bite.

Re: Bustin Sojourn
I ride Indys & Indeesz.
Indy 149 = 150mm hanger
Indy 169 = 160mm hanger
Indy 215 = 180mm hanger

Re: Bustin Sojourn
Sojourn, simply because it has a tail...
I ride Indys & Indeesz.

Indy 215 = 180mm hanger

Not easy for us to guess which board you would prefer.
But...
Bennett:
Yes.
Nothing turns like a wedged Bennett. Just don't use one on the rear. Unless you want your board to rear-steer like a fork-lift truck. Try a de-wedged Tracker on the back.
Mummy:
I don't kow what this board is suppose to do. I don't think Landyachtz does, either. Over the years it's been flat, cambered, concaved, kick-nosed, stiff, flexy, birch, firberglass, bamboo... All of the versions I've ridden are a horror show, IMO.
Mummy or Sojourn:
Neither. Keep this to yourself: Earthwing are due to release another run of Mini-Gliders.
Do whatever it takes to get one.
