thanks guys i am super stoked because i am for sure getting this board and thanks for telling me what flex its in o yeah and i was also wondering what wheels i should throw on this bad boyy i was thinking some noice Big Zig Limes or the new loaded orangatanes in heat wheel.............
I'm ordering my dervish with orangatang inheats pretty. I SHOULD get it next week or the following week. If you could wait a couple of days I will give you a review on how they feel.

if you want to do the adam colton stylee freeride nonsense, then 77mm 81a strikers would be good or powerballs. if your comfortable getting sharp lips broken in for that kind of riding then the in heats would be super cool. only thing is is i heard the O'tangs are already sold out, but maybe not
if you havent already, you migh think about doing one of the loaded challenge series, saves you $100, so instead of 310, you'd pay 210, something to think about.

Go flex 1 for anyone over 175. If your only sixteen and over 6 ft, definately go flex 1. Who knows what your weight will be in 1 to 2 years.
I'm 185 lbs, my flex 1 dervish has enough flex for me.
Oh yeah welcome to the fish, try the search button to find the answers to all the questions on longboarding that have already been asked.

i love my dervish and i was wondering if it would be possible to drift/slide it. i know i could not do super tech slides and would 70mm 92a grippins work?

yes it is definitely possible. slap on some gumballs, hold the rail, plant the back hand, and crank the turn. I know cause i got a dervish set up with that and it is a drifting machine. for heelside turns just go low like your sliding and place that front hand on the ground, and then do what ever you like with that free hand. do some grabs for some style points, or fly the bird to earn karma points.

Oh man,
you can bust crazy slides on a dervish, heelside/toeside pendy's, pressure spins etc
It just takes a bit longer to learn, but when you bust those kind of moves on a 40"+ deck it just looks super stylish I highly recommend dedicated sliding wheels & for those No Skoolz 65mm/96a would be amazing.
As for drifting, well broken in gumballs are amazing, the closest I've ever been to snowboarding has been carving off mad speed with gumballs (78a) & breaking long drifts.
Grippins are high meant to be high traction so I'm unsure how they'd drift tbh
Here's a video from some guys doing crazy slides on long decks.
The other day I put my S9 70mm 75a wheels on his Dervish and slid all day long, no joke. With sliding wheels, there's no limit with the Dervish, just COMMIT! Good luck and wear gloves when learning!!!

92a grippins seem overkill, IMO. I can drift my 80a big zigs, and they do slide. Go with a lower duro, i think.
