Re: Official Superglider Army Setup Thread
Wish I could contribute pics to this thread, but I have no camera. So, you'll just have to look below at mysig to see how my glider is setup. Looking to pop some better wheels on there eventually, its just soooo exspensive for someone as broke as me.
Thank you 8ftbed, YOU ARE THE BEST!

Nice set up.
I think that adding your weight will help people factor in how the bushings will feel.

I guess I kind of understand the weight thing....it was the height part that threw me.
Thanks BTW.

Re: Official Superglider Army Setup Thread
for christmas im thinking flashbacks and either sabres or crails, the super glider makes an excelent mild dh board if your into small tucks (5'9 and still have room in the back when in tuck)
i think im going to drop this one through and chop the tail being that i never use it any more as it is
Albuquerque city lights never looked so bright I-25 you stole my heart tonight

Are you running 1/8 inch riser with no wheelbite? How big are those wheels?

Oh and I'm 5'11", 185 and a Pisces.
Pisces? Scorpio here baby!
It's really funny about the 66s.
When these were conceptualized, the 66 was supposed to be the Stage III 169, which actually was 169mm. This hanger was the most hyped one (at least as far as I heard).
I don't think any of the team guys ride them.
It sure is a shame.
I guess 160mm is wide enough.

When I had my OG glider, I ran the wine-colored Cambrias on it. Now that I think about it, those were pretty cush on there for cruising around and stuff. They tore up pretty fast though (if you've ever seen a Cambria it would be obvious as to why). I think my next wheels for the 'glider will be 62mm Gators, 80a. I like smaller wheels on that board. The old 66mm Superballs really are a good balance between cush, roll speed, and traction/drift.

Re: Official Superglider Army Setup Thread
Just popped some Ace 66's on my wider and took it for a ride. I stopped breathing for a split second. So turny, so precise, the least amount of slop in any truck I've tried (all cast, though). I still love my Indy's, but Ace's are so solid. You dudes were right on .
Get yous some Ace 66's!!!b4theydisappear!!
Edit: Oh, and I'm also thinking of sanding some deeper wells. I'm thinking belt sander, but anyone else have a better suggestion? I don't really like the spray can and paper method...

Re: Official Superglider Army Setup Thread
Ive got a set of 66's on the way, I'm probably gonna put Bones Mediums, unless I get a wild hair up my ass and use old school indy plates with removable king pings.

Yeah man....Aces are really cast well. Bushing seats are spot-on, clean faces.....jeez. I don't even really do anything to mine. They're pretty sweet right out of the box. I might stick a Bones HC in the top, but I don't think it's all that necessary.

Got gators on mine and it is probably the best wheel for glider.
