its to give the superglider a longer nose. il take my truck put the front of the truck where the back 2 original holes where. Then take a drill press and use the baseplate as a template for the 2 new holes.
i thought that 'cuz w. the truck further back, there's more wood around the truck for better weight distribution and support of the truck on the board.. but nvm. i may be wrong cuz who knows, the nose may snap.
but if you think it's for you, go for it.
i'm saying this as i'd say with any board in general. i sorta feel guilty commenting on a sg, but i like to think i'm an sg owner in my mind.

the way the nose of the superglider is designed, it bends upwards to give the trucks 4* of wedging. by moving the truck back to that point, you're creating a fulcrum point RIGHT at the bend, which would lead to a lot of excess stress on the board, and potentially snapping the nose right off.
yes, it would give you more nose to work with, but it's not worth the risk of snapping the board
