Yeah I'm used to getting neg-repped. However, for the sake of knowledge and clarity, I was willing to take a risk and make a sacrifice. Thankfully my post was correct

This problem doesn't exist anymore. Only a small number of the 35 degree randal plates had the problem where the hanger wouldn't fit quite, which is why nobody knew about it. They fixed it a while ago apparently, and now they are coming out with a new mold that's supposed to correct even more problems (not sure what's being fixed, it might just be a new look).

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
ok, noob question for ya...
can you define what makes a board a...
speed board?
freeride board?
cruiser?
dancer?
and any other types you can think of.
I know dancers are long, speed boards are for speed, and freerides are for freestyle, but what makes them good for what they do?
Thanks.

.. there are ideal things to have in a board, but ultimately it comes down to rider
for example in a freeride deck some people like flex, and some people hate it
some people like drops and some people don't
I freeride on a lot of "dh" boards and I've taken a rather flexy board with a kicktail pretty fast
it's all up to how you decide to ride your board

well the wheels go by durometer (duro), 78a,80a, etc. The higher the number, the harder the wheels
typically its easier to slide harder wheels, like 80a,83a,86a, and so on
but it doesnt mean that say, 78a wheels wont slide, its just harder to do IMO.
generally slide wheels range from 80a and up
hope that helped >_<

soft wheel slide is probably 86a or little higher to the lowest durometer.
hard wheel slide 90a and above.

Thanks that's what I was wondering. Thought it was like 90 since yellow orangatangs are 86 and I think they still consider them soft wheels

topmount is when the board is mounted on top of the trucks
drop thru is when the board is dropthru'd the baseplate
most traditional trucks that use bushings (i.e. trucks without springs) can be either top'd or drop'd at the riders preference
oh and btw, typically you find yourself having to ask a question in this thread, then you shouldn't be answering other people's questions, so please refrain from doing so in the future

generally wheels around the 80a range aren't designed as slide wheels
most people consider hard urethane to be above 90 and soft below that

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
Do you have experience with the Rogers Bros. gas pedal? It looks like it's made of foam but you can't get any density info from site. I was wondering if I could mount it on the last holes of say a RB36 and use it to pick up the nose to go off curbs. This doable?

no, however they do make rubber pads (specifically for the dervish) that go between the trucks and the deck to protect the deck, but they're not entirely necessary.
