tm_cruzer: Jimz bushings are a cheap alternative to jimz bushings. $25 is not much to spend to make a randal turn the way they do. you can buy randals and the jimz bushings for less than a set of holeys, and they will ride as good or better than most trucks on the market in my experience.
you made a typo
Mexifly: don't you know a swallow isn't big enough to carry a coconut
So its itching me. I've ridden paris, gullwing, holey, randall, tracker Rt-X/s, Bennet, and Indy's
Question 1: Why do reverse kingpins seem so simliar and vertical kingpin trucks seem so different.
Question 2: What is the physics behind why reverse kingpins "don't get speed wobbles"?
Question 3: Pictures of my board =D
So if you'd answer that, that'd be great
I think question 3 wasn't really a question .. you get the idea =D

Gosh i can't stop watching the stupid videos. I NEED TO DO HW!!!
Question 4: You (wanna) making anything REALLY weird that I might wanna buy(or fund)?
Question 5: How did that guy have s*x on a kebbek? I'd expect that the grip tape would hurt his/her stuff
Question 6: Should i get a dervish? (<-- this 1 is a joke)
Question 7: Why am i askign so many pointless question?

Re: NOOB Questions Aswered By Dopamine David
that would work great, the shorter wheel base the sharper corners you can take, gice yourself some good concave, use 5 layers assuming you are under 200 lbs. and you can definitly drop thru crails, but it takes some very careful cutting to cut for crails, but it is very do able.
have fun, and be sure to post pics when you make it, if you want it for sharp corners make the board 39 to 40 inches long so the turning ratio of the trucks can turn the corner you want to make

At
1 min 28 that is sick! it looks like your wheels are smoking! Are you selling any of your dope boards?
Anyways I have a kahuna creations 57" to fart around on and I have a 46" sector 9 goddess.
So it is prolly gonna be easier to learn how to coleman slide before I do a standup slide right? Im gonna have to buy sliding gloves then. I shouldnt try to slide with that kahuna?
You are one sick rider..that is so cool. And you are old like me..my idol.
Thanks braddah

but my main recomendation is practice your foot breaking a lot, you get good at this and you can take a 50mph and stop pretty quickly and you can practice this at pushing speed because most people can push up to about 25mph. but the main thing is, get some gloves, kneepads and a helmet, and get practicing them... no matter how good you get, you want to be able to do a coleman as the safty stop.

steve, your questions will take me till tomorrow to answer all of them, but ill get there... and the jimz bushing coment wasnt a typo.. i think they are a great price for how good they make trucks ride.

i just drew it up a bit ago.
its 40" long, with a 32" wheel base about 9 ish inches wide but tapers to a little less
i'm giving it about half an inch of concave(is that too much or too little or just right?)
and im going to look up a template for the crail drop thru. but i might just go with randals

Re: NOOB Questions Aswered By Dopamine David
steve: sorry already answered the precision truck question
skatercop: get some gloves and slide that kahuna, that will work just fine, but stand up sliding that will be tough, but also still possable, and im glad you liked the vid, that is actualy shot in hd, im excited to get that on dvd

Re: NOOB Questions Aswered By Dopamine David
kshizz: i would go a little wider up front, maybe a half inch or so, and for the concave, i would sat 1/3 inch deep, but make the concave taper as well, so like six inxhes of flat in the middle of the concave in front tapering to 3 inches of flat or tub concave in the back. you can rail corners in a tuck when its like that.

BTW D, how do I measure to drill bolt holes? What glue should I use? How do I build a cheap press? How many plies? Should I search first?
it is open ended though, as long as this thread is, this is america damnit 8)
edit: oh and about the bolt holes, just put the truck on there hammer some nails through the truck holes and out the otherside of the deck. pull the truck off and you got it in the bag

i dont understand what you are saying... i think i will make fun of anyone answering questions in this that is not me.. the rules are set in the begining, this thread is made so noobs can have their questions answered by me, for better or worse. so thats how it goes.

Re: NOOB Questions Aswered By Dopamine David
you said "you use jimz bushings so that randals can ride like jimz bushings" instead of jimz trucks.
I'm not answer a question so i'm not going to be made fun of right?
=D

if four F-35's and a Raptor went up against 7 Su-27's and two Su-47's in a cloudy battle with lightning conditions and no AWACS, who would win?

Re: NOOB Questions Aswered By Dopamine David
Speaking of JimZ bushings, how do you like them. I recently picked up a set, and I'm already thinking of jumping on the Venom bandwagon, the Jimz just feel too dead.

Re: NOOB Questions Aswered By Dopamine David
Can I return this without a receipt? Or do I have to exchange it for the proper size?
