they are both pretty much the same offset, from what i can tell, i have them both, but the inheats are a little bit wider, and a little more on each side.

kaka: there are a lot of different thoughts on this, i love the 70mm oranges for racing, but they do get slower once broken in, so then zigzagz are another great option, and for a bigger wheel, and for rough roads i really like the 72a avilas, they are very fast for such a soft wheel, so they just dominate rough roads, and get better the more broken in they are.

I honestly havnt noticed much difference between all the grip i've used. and I like mine t be a litle worn personaly. i've used tons of different types, and it all seems to work just great, but for applying it, some of them have holes in them so you dont get air bubbles, and i really like that.

for helmets, I really like the s-one helmets for a half helmet and the bell mt bike helmets for dh, like the bell drop, thats what i plan on getting for my next full face

I have heard the same, and also that some poeple like to use the 3dm stuff from home depot, its very expensive but very grippy. I've been meaning to try out some of the longboard specific grip, cause i've heard its super grippy, but i'm not sure i'd like it, i like to be able to slide my feet around but i'll be giving something like that a shot on my next board for sure, just to see how it is.

Where do you suggest I go to try on some helmets to see what fits me? My local skate shop doesn't have that great a variety of helmet shapes and sizes, and I tried Sports Authority today to no avail. I can't think of any other brick-and-mortar stores likely to have skate helmets in stock. I may have to try Walmart or Target sometime soon.

EDIT: Sorry, I was talking about a half-shell.

well for a half helmet, i'd order online, and they usualy have what head measurments are to what size, and just measure your head and go that way. for a full face, you want to go to mountain bike shops. Some of the bigger sports stores have them, but mostly i'd suggest more specialized bike shops.

there seem to be quite a few around you

Is it necessary to apply grip on a KS m1? i read somewhere on the forum that will ( the seller/maker)
says that they "cradle your feet" and that grip isnt necessary. havent heard it firsthand, though.

also, if it is necessary, what is the best way to apply grip on the KS m1? just in the middle of deck where most of the riding goes along? in strips? or the whole center area?

    thank you

aznmobsta: what do you weight? my carving setup used to be double barrel blue/orange. but if youw ant to do faster carving i suggest double barrel blues or double barrel red/blue.

iluvmurphie: I've seen people put some sick grip jobs on their KS boards here on the fish, and the one time I rode one, it had a pull sheet of clear on the standing platform. but i have also seen 1 guy riding his on campus that had no grip. personaly i would have grip on any board just incase.

He was asking where to go to TRY ON helmets. And you need a physical store to be able to do that.
