shimferceeee: yeah, that works just fine to add glass with epoxy, after you use titebond on the wood.
aznmobsta: I think that will work actualy, go for it!
sean: indies are lower, so your weight is closer to the pivot point, and the center of the wheel, and thus easier to slide.
sorry, that i have not been around much. I had a death in the family, so i havnt been around much. thanks a bunch kshizz for taking up the slack. i'll be back in here off and on, but a bit slow for a while while we work through all this.

I'm sorry. That's one of those things you hate to hear, even if you've never met the person.

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
mattyfresh07: they both definately work together. the bottom bushing will provide more stability than the top bushing. the bottom bushing is what takes the most preassur from you standing on it so generally when you have mixed bushings you want the harder one on bottom and softer or same duro on top. also if you have a harder busing on top instead of on bottom what will happen is the lean on your board will react more quickly but also stop sooner. so basically you want a harder bottom and softer or same bushing top.
FL_RIDER_93: All of those have their advantages and none really any disadvantage, although i cant speak for the w concave seeing as i havent tried it yet, but i know dave knows all about that. tub/cconcave gives you a good amount of traction on the board and a great reaction time because with deep tup concave you feet are always in good contatct with the rails. other concaves like gaspedal are good too, and provide a nice flat standing platform between the concaved edges. i like tub better than anything though. it really locks in my feet and give alot of leverage on the board for drifting and sliding.

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
flrider: W concave gives you a little added leverage, in that you can push against that middle bump with the ball of your foot, and your heal, i really like that, the disadvatage to it, is it is very uncomfortable to tuck on, cause your back foot will be placed right on a convex hump. but for a carving and drifting board, where you ride with both feet sidways, it is a wonderful thing to ride.
but it does also, take all kinds, some people like it and some dont. I do a blend on my speedboards, of W front and U back, so that your back foot is not on a bump.
thanks for all the kind words everyone. we are getting through things just fine, but its going to be rough for a bit

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
what would be lower and offer more overall preformance on a top mount?:
indy 215's or paris hangers on randal 42*s?
please and thank you

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
indies would be lower, the randal and paris hangers would be better performance, and much more stable, and even better, randal hangers with randal 42 plates, cause you can use stims in them.

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
ok what advantage does flipping the hangers on your trucks do for you? and would you recomend it for a loaded vanguard? also what does LDP stand for?
if you smacked a kid in the face with a bottle of Johnson's No More Tears, would it create beautiful irony?

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
flipping hangers simply lowers the ride, and reduces some of your leverage by changing the rake of the truck. I dont recomend it on a vanguard, it will make the turning on the board feel a little bit sluggish.
LDP stands for Long Distance Pumping

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
I was thinking about using a pairs/randal hanger combo on my hellcat. Which hanger should I put in the back? Would the pairs or randal hanger be more stable for the back

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
it completely depends on the bushings there southshorelocal. you could do a jimz bushing in the randal hanger, put it in back, and then a venom in the paris up front, that would probably do pretty well, or if you are doing conventional bushigns all around then i'd put the paris in back

yea I was thinking that I could run karrot stims and jimz's back with the randal and 93 venom upfront in the pairs
