Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
So I set up my Hellcat with 42 randal plates paris 180 hanger front randal 180 hanger back. My bushing setup is venom 85 conical top and 93 barrel bottom and Im running lemon lime big zigs.
This is by far the best setup I have ever ridden. There is so much rebound I don't know what to do with it. The pairs hanger adds a nice feel to the front of the deck. I will try it with pairs back to see what that feels like too.

Right now it is setup for flat ground riding with lots of carving. For my DH setup I was thinking about using karrot 83 stims bottom (front and back) with venom 83 top front and a Jimz white bottom on top in the back.
Which hanger gives more lean Paris or Randal?

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
randals give more lean, and actualy, i dont like paris trucks with stims at all, they just cant lean far enough to handle any real turns. the bushing seat is too small for that shape of bushing

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
so for dh it would be smarter to put the Paris hanger in the back

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
unless you are runing venoms, then i'd put the paris in the front. Run venoms in paris in front, and stim/jimz in the randals in back. I really think that will work good, and plan on trying it now. it sounds nice

someone: I totaly dont get what you are asking, sorry.
flrider: you are probably moving off your board too much. you need to keep the weight on the board, keep your hands off the ground if possable, and i fyou have to put a hand down, you will grip more if you move your hand that is on the ground infront of the front wheels, it will really grip at that point.

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
i honestly dont think there is a bushing that is best for sliding. for a slide specific board, i think the trucks matter the most, i love indies, and trucks as loose as you can get them without wheel bite

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
What are the main differences between Randals and Paris'?
This question seems as common as the Dervish vs. Vanguard question used to be, but I haven't been able to find any real answers. It seems there's just a bunch of mixed answers or extremely vague ones with absolutely no detail whatsoever.
Is it lean? Turning ability? Responsiveness?
If the difference isn't too noticeable, I'll probably just grab another set of used Randals from someone. Otherwise, I'd like to try a set of Parises for myself.

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
so after a little more time on my randal/Paris combo I have to say it is better than I thought. I just put it on my g-bomb chamber deck and hopefully it will be a pump machine.
Hope all is well in your life. Any pics of my deck? Even if it isn't finished.
