Charles, i have never heard of inset. there is offset - side set, and center set. a good example of these are: offset = bigzigz Side Set = flashbacks Center Set = Fly wheels
they all have different degrees of grip and drift, center being the most drifty, and off and side, both having verying degrees of grip, more dependant on the urathane than the shape to a degree.

and buy reds and speed creem and you will be darn fast, and still save $15 though bones swiss are the most durrable bearing i've ever ridden, so thats my fave, but they are not faster than reds, or mini logs with speed cream in them

Also, definitly loosen those trucks up, and dont take hills that are bigger than you can handle with loose trucks, and before long, you can skate 50mph on loose trucks. Feels so nice that way.. I can not ride a board with tite trucks any more.. it just feels wrong. and i would def cut the grip off, it would look better
hm, are these "cutouts"? its not really cut out...just shaved down. btw, thanks for your patience. lol

In another thread, about these boards (sector 9 bomb hills) someone is using 75mm wheels...they didnt really mention wheel bite or anything. I might private message them, hope they dont mind.

and speeking of which. we need to get out and ride some slope styles soon.. do you want to borrow some holey trucks till you get yours?
That would be sick. I will be buying some trucks in a couple weeks when I get paid but I really want to ride it while I still can... can't decide if I'm going to grab some Paris or just Randals. I'm also thinking of getting some 42 randals for my Voodoo. I'm tired of how dead Crails ride. Not my thing. I feel just as comfortable on Randals but they turn better in my opinion. We'll see what happens.

    HEY DAVID!
    Hows it going?

I'm about to get myself a Niko Demarisis, and was wondering what trucks (not precision) would work well for DH runs but mostly bombing.
I'll be fitting it with either 85mm Speed Vents 79a, Lime BigZigs 80a, Krypo-Style Hawgs 85mm, or even 77mm Monster Hawgs.

Oh and for the bushings..i'm still not sure. But i'm really leaning toward some nice JimZ.
And for bears, would it be ideal to run 1040's or 1052's?

Which Randal Setup would work well? 50 front 35 back? 42 both?

    Crails?

    Thanks man.

im a huge randal fan, and the 50/35 is an extremely solid setup, but 42/42 will be great too, im not a big fan of grizzlies, and i have seen some qc issues that randal used to have with them recently, and i have only ridden crails briefly, so i cant really give good advise there. I am also a huge fan of jimz bushings. they have made my randals ride amazingly well, and it makes me not even want to try anything else for dh any more. they just ride so nice

How about some tips for the heavier guys who can't even do 2 miles..

I feel like those wheels are all the same..except for the 85mm hawgs, being the most drifty.

This may be the biggest noob question you've gotten....how can I tell if I have risers on my board? There is a 1/4 inch pieces of rubber between my board and my trucks. Is this necessary to separate them and standard or is it an added riser? Because if I can take it off and lower my board and make my push easier I'd really love it. But I don't want to take it off if it's supposed to be there. See TOTAL noob question.

Also how do I flip my trucks. I went to the tutorial and I'm so lost and I had no idea what it was talking about flipping around. Is there a tutorial with photos instead of drawings? I have Randal 180s and 66mm wheels on my Bustin Cigar if it matters at all.
