Common on really low drop thru's. It's where the hanger hits the deck in sharp turns.
Hope this answers your question.

If you want to skate this weekend I have been itching to get out. There's a spot called Marycliff that would be fun to skate sometime next week if you are interested. Mt. St. Michaels is a fun, not-too-fast technical hill with a couple of switchbacks, and there are a few fast (50+) hills around town too, if you know where to look.
I definitely would be down for Eagle Ridge, since I haven't skated there in a while. Only concern is that they are residential neighborhoods...
What do you say David?
LESS HATE, MORE SKATE.
Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy #### we don't need.

I'm gonna say it's when your hanger touches your board.
It's like wheelbite, but with you're hanger.

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
TheGoodlad: wedging is used to change the angle of your truck to give you more turn per lean. to do this you simply place an angled riser between the baseplate of your trucks and your deck, with the "fat" part of the angled riser facing towards the middle
if you place the angled riser the opposite way, it will dewedge your trucks and give you less turn per lean

What do you say David?
judging by your picture you look pro. where is this marycliff? and also what hills are 50 plus?
eagle ridge is a residential neighborhood, but lincoln way is never really that busy plus if you take that imidiate right with a little drift is really cool.

Rouleau: what board do you have? there are many different choices here, 50 degree randals sit higher than 42's

double dropped subsonic reflex,
paris baseplates are just as tall as randal 50's right? is that a big difference in height to the 42 randals?

they're just as tall, if not a tad bit taller than 50's
there is a noticeable difference between 50's and 42's

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
How do I get rid of wheel lift? I have trouble with it on my topmount and Hellcat. Not a huge problem as I don't usually lean that far over when I'm skating, but it's screwed me up a few times while sliding. I've tried softer and harder bushings but neither seem to make the problem go away completely. Is this just unavoidable on narrower boards?

Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
Chaunce: I never really notice wheel lift while riding, but from stationary when I have noticed it, I noticed that I could correct it by simply centering my weight
I also found it more prone to wheel lift while running two baseplates with different angles.
