Re: NOOB Questions Answered By Dopamine David
What would be better for some casual cruising with an occasional big hill or two, the Landyachtz Spud or Switch? Or is there something that would be better than both of those and in the same price range?
Edit: Rayne Hellcat?

out of those choices I'd go with the hellcat
if you want to get one of the two landys it really depends on how wide your stance is

Also, I'm a bigger guy (250 lbs) so would any of those start to really flex if I stood on them?

are you talking about the new bamboo one or the wood one?
and another noob question, would randal 180s fit on that deck or do i have to get the grizzlys.

I wouldn't really worry about any of them flexing, if you more worried about general abuse, the landy's will probably hold up better

I'm talking about the new one, my friend has one, and it has a nice snappy, definitely not like loaded, I'd actually feel comfortable taking it up to speed. They should fit, and if they don't it's nothing that 5 minutes and a file or dremel won't fix

That actually looks pretty sick. Is the topmount stable or would it be better to get the drop version?

wow this thread is amazingly helpful
Ok, so what would be better trucks for a carving/sliding setup: Randal's or Grizzly's. Ive always been tempted by the pink randalls...

it's up to personal preference, if you think the pinks look awesome and want to support a great cause then you should get them
I haven't owned a new set of grizzlys so I can't give an accurate opinion of them, however they should be loads better than the old generation
also if you're leaning more towards a higher speed truck, that is awesome I strongly recommend crails, sweet hangers and the 45 degree angle is awesome

higher speed as in for more downhill focused, or just a better truck?
and what would be better for doing a little sliding and a little carving, 81a gumballs or 83a durians?

I'd say more downhill focused
it has a tighter bushing seat,
really though crails excel at everything except for carving, but that's not to say that they are bad at carving
depends on what you want
you just basically asked what would be better for drifting and gripping..
