Re: What wheels/deck/trucks/bushings/bearings should I get for #insert discipline#?!?
Demon and get the Maple if you want less flex. You can also contact him and get an extra ply. I'm 210+ but ride my original Demon which is birch... and it's gooood.
I've got a maple version coming soon though.

(btw for this board, should I go for the extra layer of plywood? I'm 140 pounds, but I like my boards to be a bit stiffer.)
Any other suggestions for a not-so-expensive nice drop through board?
I haven't ridden the other boards, but I do own the heist in the normal flex. I LOVE the thing. It's SO much fun, but it is a little flexy if that's not your taste. Here's a review I did on my Heist a little while back.

Re: What wheels/deck/trucks/bushings/bearings should I get for #insert discipline#?!?
So I am setting up a board as a do all and this is what i have got so far:
EW supercharger
Indy 215's
wedge risers
Zigzag limes
Khiro hardware
and biltin bearings
Im pretty happy with all the other stuff but the bearings are the part i have a question about. I hear they are great but i hear they get dirty, i bought them already but what should i replace them with when they wear out, for longevity and quality?

Re: What wheels/deck/trucks/bushings/bearings should I get for #insert discipline#?!?
Keep 'em cleaned and lubed and they'll probably last a very long time.
Plus, you could go to MHS. He's got a 2 pack deal going on his bearings now. You could pull the shields off two of those and put on your biltins for extra protection.

Re: What wheels/deck/trucks/bushings/bearings should I get for #insert discipline#?!?
You just have to use high viscosity lubricant which will keep the "bad stuff" out of your bearings. They won't have as long of a free-spin as well sealed bearings with low viscosity lubes, but they will last just as long and roll just as fast when you apply some weight and some gravity to them.

Mile High Skates
Best bearing ever. Don't buy into any of that "Abec" stuff about bearings, or those $60 brand name OUST bearings. These will last you months longer, cost a fraction of the price, and you won't notice any difference in roll speed.

Re: What wheels/deck/trucks/bushings/bearings should I get for #insert discipline#?!?
'Evening everyone. I have a 40" board with 9" Gullwings, and am looking throw some wheels on it. I'm pretty set on 70mm Lime Zigzags (80a duro.), as they seem to be able to do everything. Looking for something that won't slide out on me, can carve and get up to speed but still be able to slide them if i wish. What I'm concerned with is my ability to slide these wheels, as I'm a beginner. Any thoughts Silverfish?

Orangatang 4Prez should slide SIMILAR to the Durians when broken in, but you will have more grip. If you break Otangs in right they before very slidey, even in the same shape as ZigZags

I'm planning to buy a second hand Dervish flex 2.
Is this a good setup for dancing and slide? I'm planning to buy this one.
Suggestions please?
i'd say get randal or paris 180 trucks because bears arnt made for carving as much. and they are too expensive to get them and not use them for speed. and id get wheels around 80-84a range for the dervish otherwise your gonna be sliding everywhere when you want to carve. but it you want to turn your dervish into a tech slide board go ahead haha.

i personally cant tell you. for that i'd say use the search function and look up randall and paris durability
if your buying all of that as a set i'd say look for people to trade with. you can get some good trucks and wheels for bears and the wheels. now, idk how many people want the wheels but bear trucks are always in demand.

Re: What wheels/deck/trucks/bushings/bearings should I get for #insert discipline#?!?
Have you ever ridden bears? They are great for carving! It's a 50 degree reverse kingpin truck, they are all great for carving! Bears don't have much bushing seat so they can turn really deep which is fun, I find that helps when initialising slides.
Gravity super sliders, depending on the duro will probably slide too much. 85a should be good, anything else too hard. I hear they are a bit slow though.
If by 'tricks' you mean dropping a 10 foot ledge like a MAN, then I'm not sure which will be more durable out of Randal or Paris. If you mean tiger claws and 'dancing' and all that, then HAHAHAHA they'll both last forever. I think I still have the first pair of randals I ever bought and that was in uh... 2002?
Really, if you don't really know about what you want, READ THE GUIDE at the beginning of this thread, because you won't be able to tell the difference and it'll all be good. Follow the guide on the compnents and you will have a RAD setup.
