I am having trouble deciding between these two boards:
Subsonic Pulse / v2
Roe Mermaid
I have been skating since January on a standard sector 9 cruiser and have enjoyed it but am looking to upgrade now and get my second board. I am leaning towards getting the subsonic pulse but my main questions are this:
Should i get the subsonic pulse v2 with the concave as i like the heel/toe feel for carving but not sure how comfortable it will be for pumping distances over a mile?
Which of the boards is the more versatile for carving and general cruising?
I have both and my preference is towards the Subsonic, just works better for me. Both excellent boards and you will be happy either way you go. The Roe has a bit more flex and snap, while the Subsonic is a bit stiffer, in my opinion.

Cheers guys i am having trouble seperating these two boards as i have looked through the forums and all the reviews seem to be so good. Apparently the wait for the Roe may take a bit longer although i havent confirmed this. Has anyone got the v2 pulse with the camber and concave as i am sorely tempted to get one to take with me when i start my travels around the world this summer!
My friend just got his subsonic pulse after a three month wait, I think its around 6 weeks wait time for the roe, about the same for the LBL Walkabout and I haven't heard about the Roggs Mistress yet, but I believe it's about the same. Regardless you're going to be waiting a while for an LDP board, that's just the nature of supply & demand with LDP boards right now. So get whatever you fancy. I've heard that the Subsonic is stiff, but that might let you use the longer wheelbases for more speed. I know on my walkabout I can only go up to the 28.5" wheel base, because I'm 180 lbs. I'd love to try a stiffer board like the Pulse some time, it seems like a good board. Hopefully I can try my friends. If you don't like the board, just get another. I'm thinking of picking up a second LDP board when summer rolls around.

The original Pulse has concave. The v2 just has MORE.
You're going to have to wait either way.
I got the Pulse v1, and it's my all-around board for carving, pumping, and commuting.
Honestly, from what I hear about the Mermaid, they're both great boards. If it's just trouble deciding, flip a coin. If there's something specific about what you want in your board, then ask away. I guarantee you that if you're not happy with one, it'll sell in seconds on the Fish and give you enough money to try something else.
