hi i need help carving. i ride a dervish. it feels really nice. but sometimes my wheels break out from under me when im downhill carving. how do i downhill carve? FAST? Also i need more grippy wheels for the drtifing. any tips? Thannnxxx
lol, before everyone jumps on you, for sliding you need harder wheels. What wheels do you have? it is very hard for normal wheels to just break loose while carving at any speed really. and carving is basically just large open turns so yeah. you made my day, a dervish master...in training.

you should be able to get used to your wheels breaking out when you carve hard and do speed checks, but if youre just looking for grippier wheels so that doesnt happen, go with lime bigzigs, 75a speedvents, avilas if you really want grip... but that would be a strange ride, or even the otangs.

Dude. The Dervish is such an overused term, it's not even funny to make FUN of it anymore. Just tiring.
Grippy wheels for drifting! Oh my gosh a paradox! Hahahahha I get it, it's like you're an uninformed beginner skater with a poor grasp of what you're trying to achieve from your board. That's very funny and interesting of you.

None of you asshats are in the hammers shadow but, I will say the new year will bring some forum changes, one of which will be much stricter enforcement of the general anti-hater TOS rules.
When carving your back wheels are much more likely to slide out that your front. Put more weight on your back foot and your wheels will not break nearly as easily. Try to get some speed checks down. Put less weight on your back foot if you want your wheels to slide out more. Gripier wheels will work better. I would recommend some otang orange in heats if you want a little more grip and 4prez if u want a little more drift and slide. Bigzigs, lime or lemon, are always a safe bet as well. Good luck, hope it helped.
