Best shoes for longboarding

what are your guys favorite shoes for longboarding?
my favs are vans slip ons they grip good and are flexible so you can still feel the board

There are a couple threads on shoes...there is one in the skating safety forum where they actually post pictures.

BUT I will answer and say that I tend to go for high tops because I cracked my ankle with my board when I just messing around and I thought I shattered something. My left ankle was twice the size of my right and walking was a nightmare. I don't always wear them, but if I have the choice and I know I may have an accident, I go for high tops. Gravis Oxford Mids have a lot of padding and are really cushy.

I ride whatever is cheap because they all get grinded into nothing eventually anyway. That is, if you don't skate like a little beeeeeeeyatch

I was the same way with the slip-ons, but they are prone to falling off when you try to push really really fast. Try out some Vans Classics. I just bought some and they're awesome. No more falling off problems, feel good on the board, and I think they might even have the same grip as slip-ons(maybe thicker too).

I loved my Adio Kenny Andersons they have a rubber toe which I loved for breaking... but once they smell bad they are done... no saving them...

ya those paper flip flops are the bomb i tried them before and they lasted a long time!

Def the tennis ball material converse high tops. ankle support, and theyre made of tennis ball material so they basically glow in the dark

back on track,ipath reeds and fallen tguns are my two favorite shoes of all time

Look up vans prison issue. I've had a couple pair of them and i love riding in them. You can really feel the board, they're really grippy, and you ignore laces without having to worry about them slipping off.
