I just put some S8s with 75mm otangs on my seasoned carver with just an 1/8in shock pad and no wheel bite. its a blast, I can do 180s while going like 2 mphs.

I'm still trying to think of the perfect board to make for them. I'm thinking about something like this, midsized like 37-38" with a functional kicktail so i can ride it off the tail, but without the taper towards the back because I like plenty of standing room for both feet.

I still have to ride them longer to decide exactly what kind of board i want to make for them, let me know if you guys have any ideas

I have a newer custom 35... it is sick... Honestly, you can learn how to dial out speed wobbles. You just really need to take the time to adjust properly to the trucks. remember to upgrade springs if you are a heavier guy as well.

After riding my Original everything else just sits in the basement.

Nice S8's dude. I'll be posting some pics of my new Bears soon. The trucks are very unique and fun at lower speeds.
Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors. You must try them all before finding the one you like the best.

I can verify that, I mounted a set of Originals with a notched 1/4" riser the other day and that's all the space you need to clear the flange on the underside of the trucks. Of course, you still need the deck shaped right to avoid wheelbite, but 1/4" is all you need for the flange.

BTW, don't get tempted to hammer the flange flat. I know it LOOKS like it could work, there's that slot on the underside of the trucks and everything. Don't do it. If you do, you can't adjust the trucks anymore. The flange needs to be free to slide up & down.

thanks for the trucks they're really fun. I wouldn't want it as my only board but its a great addition to a quiver for when you just want to do some pumping, carving, and sliding.

    Have fun the the bears.

My Derringer came in yesterday and I took it out for its first test run.
It's definitely out of this world. I could stand perfectly straight and just bend my ankles forward and back and be carving tight full across a sidewalk. And when I actually carved normally, it was just crazy. The Originals will turn like a regular truck if you want them to, but they can also just go wild. Which is what I'm liking about them. I'll be able to comment more towards the end of the week after I've been riding them for a while.

I love my Derringer. It such a cool mini because you can put huge wheels on it for its size. I have S9 RFs(74mm) on mine right now. It rides like a board that is much longer as far as stability goes, yet can turn super tight. Amazing board!

Yeah, this is pretty annoying...you still can't buy decks off their site.

Yeah, Elephantman, I'm running 76mm wheels on mine right now. First thing I did when I got it all out of the box was stand on it, grab my bed rail, and lean as far forward and backward as I could. I found it physically impossible to get wheelbite with my 76mm wheels on the S6 trucks, which ASTOUNDS me. It's glorious.

m-tron, I'd suggest giving Original a call. I called to order my board, because I wanted to make sure of a couple things and get some wheels that weren't listed on the site, and they were super cool. I'm sure you could order a deck via phone.
