mini longboards / original skateboards

Hi guys,

I just joined ands thought I would get a general opinion. Im looking to purchase a mini longboard and found a tight little cruiser called the manhattan project from original skateboards. It looks pretty good but thought I would ask around. Any critics?

Haven't ridden the Manhattan, but I've ridden other decks on the same trucks.. they're a blast!

I have a set of original trucks on a 42" long board and i can do a full U-turn in a single parking space. personally i wouldn't want originals on a board that short, imo if your getting a mini go with some bennett's

You would probably get more hits if you had this moved to "General Longboarding", or "Cruisers, Carvers..."

Can't say that I know of the Manhattan project, but I do know that Legendary makes a BA little board called the gnome... Also I think Flexdex minis are killer at pumping and such.

Not speaking out of experience riding, just from hearsay.

i have not ridden the Manhattan but i've had the Derringer for about a month now. It's a great board. only a couple inches longer than the manhattan yet rides like a beast!

i've never ridden it but it looks pretty sick. if i were to get a mini tht would b the one i would get. Im thinkin it would b the quickest lil b-stard ever.

i say go with an apex 34 its small but the manhatan i think is kindof to small those trucks turn alot theres no need for a deck that small

I was thinking about getting the manhattan aswell, but the problem is that you can only order original longboards through their own website cant you? and i live in england which is a problem, know any other bowl/cruiser/oldschool boards i could get??

I have one of theses boards and it is sick... It was my first board and i have no complaints besides the trucks being really heavy.I can almost pump this thing up a hill. I learned how to layback and do manuals on it.I have had it for about a year and i have had to replace the bearings and wheels. I think it is an awesome mini.
