    Default Loaded Vanguard parts question

I am planning buying a vanguard deck for $160, but I don't know what trucks, wheels and bearings I need for it. So far I found a good deal on ebay offering Paris 180s, 70mm wheels, ABEC 7 bearings, and riser pads for $55. Do you guys think that is a good deal for a loaded, or a complete board is more economical, thanks

Some of those eBay packages comes with good trucks and decent bearings, but with lousy no-name wheels, which is to be avoided IMO. Make sure you get good wheels, like Abec11, Retro, Earthwing, Bennetts or similar. Good wheels are important for a good ride!

    And welcome to Silverfish.

I agree with Blix, good wheels are definitely one of the more important things and can significantly impact your ride.

The last time I looked at those packages, the majority of the $50ish packs came with no name wheels.

cool, yeah it look weird that the package didnt mentioned the type of wheel, I think I will buy paris 180 and a set of good wheels, is there anything else I should get besides the trucks, wheels and bearings?

I like randals but paris' are good too! you can read the various (multiple) randal vs paris threads if you want!

I think I know what ebay package your talking about...I didn't order it, but according to someone else in another thread who tried them, said they were pretty good to begin with (not terrible)...

you can always look around for components on the 'fish! for cheaper too (hopefully!)

Mile high has gumballs on sale right now, spacers included. $40

    Mile High Skates

Then you could grab a set of paris/hardware/wheels for $50

A bit more expensive, but if you want to go with paris, it's not that big of a difference. I'm sure you could find these things in the classifieds (in pretty good condition) for a much better deal though.
