Re: Aera Trucks
Speedfiend, Dozer, Xedell, or whoever wants a set of the 210mm, send an email to sales@aeratrucks.com to specify what you already ordered, or hit up the website again and order with 210mm in the comments.

I set up a topmount with indys to see if it was really that hard, and the result was, they rode just like trucks! No crazy difference, the skateboard trucks rode like skateboard trucks.
Same thing applies to Aera. They feel like trucks, so I think I could ride them and support my friend's company.
Sorry I gotta raise the BS flag on you here....I distinctly remember you coming out loudly in favor of using precision trucks especially a front for slalom

They're a touch lower when flipped, and a touch higher when unflipped. Either way, it's good to go. The hangers are lighter, but the baseplates are beefy and strong where they need to be. The Kahalani baseplate is super tiny and it's tough to work with on drop-thrus and isn't too great for power transmission from deck to trucks, to boot it doesn't fully support a lower bushing.
To quantify the weight difference:
Dee-Lite Avenger
Kahalanis
+InHeats
= 3.7kg
Dee-Lite Avenger
Aeras
+InHeats
= 3.8kg
About 100 grams, but I haven't used a more accurate scale for the smaller numbers.

Ok, that is legitimate. Slalom is a different game and a dual spherical is almost 100% necessary to win on a pro level. Sort of like how you couldn't win a Formula One race with a car built on a big truck frame and suspension no matter how good the engine or driver was.
Downhill doesn't require the same responsiveness and leaves a lot more room to work with different things. To address some other comments, obviously there are differences between trucks and truck setups especially when changing the pivot angles. Type of bushing also plays a huge role. For instance, a Giant soft JimZ is going to make a truck behave extremely differently than a really hard venom or khiro.
While I think almost any truck can be tuned to ride well, I'm not saying that they all come that way. You still need to use the right bushing/washer setup to make it right. I put in the time developing good bushings so that this could be done with more trucks than before. Almost all trucks have the same potential, but the devil is in the details as always.

thanks, i'll be getting a set for sure!
also is there a way to distinguish if the hangar is flipped or not just by looking at it? (Comp IIs have the F for flipped on the flipped side)
i also assume that the bushings and what not are included?

You can tell it's flipped by how much the kingpin sticks out, or how deep the bushings are seated... It's pretty easy to tell if it's flipped or not.
Venom barrels are included!

Last three sets of the first, styled out run are still available, they've taken a bit longer to ship as the machinist has been incorporating a few changes that will greatly improve turn-ability in the flipped position. There's one more set of 210mm hangers available, and they won't be made again, so if you want 'em HOP TO IT.
