At first you would think so... But take a look at the pivot pin, bushing seat, and how they relate to each other. That right there, boyo, is a different geometry.

Re: Aera Trucks
They look nice, my interest with be determined by projected price.

Re: Aera Trucks
It looks like the bushing seat and the pivot pin are both stepped back (offset? I don't know the proper term), or at least not inline with the axle.

Zealous IMO dont seem like anything special to me.... just the adj. pivot seems nice. Ive stood and seen them in person, but hopefully this week ill be able to try them this weekend.
I really like the look and cut of these Aera, nice and light and strong looking. distance from pivot to bushings seat seems nice and low.

The pivot pin and bushings seat look to be on different planes but I may be wrong. Doesn't that cause slop in the bushings seat like indies (an extreme example of this)

Re: Aera Trucks
interesting, no spherical, how deep do the axles go into the hanger?

what exactly is wrong with that?

Was wondering the same thing. If this is the case, Kevin's definitely right about a different geometry.

Re: Aera Trucks
I do not think they look like kahas, at least not a carbon copy. This look very intresting indeed, can't wait for somebody like Stuff ( third party) to give them a go.
They look very robust.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cold beer in one hand - longboard in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, Yeaa Haaa What A Ride!!!

Nothing really it's just why would you buy precision trucks if you wanted slop? You can get crazy amounts of sloppiness with some grizzlies.

yeah but the difference is Grizzlies are the suck and only 180mm. Actually the slop as you call it would probably provide a bit of a surfy feel unlike Grizzlies

This CAN happen... If you don't take into account the action of flipping the hangers... Not to let all the secrets out, but the bushing seat IS in fact in line with the pivot, the axles however... Are not. This allows for some differing geometry as per the flip as well as lowering your ride height significantly while in the flipped position.
Sorry if there's any nicks or anything in the hangers / pics... I couldn't wait to ride them, so you'll see they've been used. Thrashing them was the most important test!
Baseplate / assembled pics soon... I've just been out riding them too much to take time for editing pictures and getting them up. SOON!

Re: Aera Trucks
k-rimes actually quoted me in a post yay! Well he was disagreeing with me...
LOL the trucks look rad can't wait to see them completely but I'm not in love with the square edged plain jimz/stim bushing seat, it's been overdone in precisions.

Re: Aera Trucks

Flip that #@%&!
I don't like the super square edges either... Chamfers, coming up. These are the first of the first small run.

please don't turn this into the "ican has test them pl0x?" like that chocolate trucks thread did it might get in the way of real information.
