I'd say the bigger difference is going to come from your wheels/technique than the trucks. Not trying to be one of those kids but they're both precisions that are above inline so I don't think it'd be much of a difference

What does that have to do with the differences in grip between Kahas and Aeras?

good point. i guess munkaes are about as wide as aeras and kahas, as well as just above inline.
so... yeah i guess my post was useless. damn you, wood chip
but the point of the post was to respond to brain smoothie saying that grip comes more from your technique, etc

yupp. and i ride them flipped. the extra width helps with not getting wheelbite. at a stationary full lean, i am literally 2mm away from biting. i do believe i posted this pic on the dh setup thread?

my favorite dh setup evarrrrrr

After much deliberation, it has been decided to be so. The pivots will be the same as the last run.

Awesome. Do you care to share what differences there will be in baseplates? Any different angles, or anything? Heigh be the same?

I've got some tricks up my sleeve for this new truck-set. Truly high performance skate gear. There will be another baseplate that will coincide with the release of the new trucks. The height on the new trucks should prove a TOUCH lower, but lower in the right place, the baseplate. The hanger, however, will be taller than the K-1. This will make for a more gradual turn in, but with a deeper bottom of the lean. So while it will feel as though it leans LESS, it will just be turning more by the time you reach that equal lean. Should be wicked for freeriding. As well, lowering the base and adding height to the hanger adds leverage on the bushings so you should be able to have a more "divey" set-up which, I think, will work great for all around skating.
On the bonus side of making up this new truck (damn this process of re-design is dope-a-lope in every way), all the bases will be the same height! Super stoked. Gaaangst.
