Sucks that Rayne designed the Killswitch so soon. I'm pretty sure we came up with that identical idea the same night the Bonesaw design came to life (months before the Killswitch was released.)

Hey guys. I figured I'd leak a photo of a new topmount design to get some hype going.

No flex. Using Baltic Birch only, and a bit of triax fiberglass between plies, it shouldn't "flex" at all, but it will certainly have a tiny bit of a dampening feel, which most BB speedboards have.

    36" length, 30", 29.5", 28.5", 28" wheelbases.

    10.1" wide up front
    9.5" rear width
    Between 5/8 & 3/4" concave
3/8" "w" concave in the rear covering the middle 3-4" of the deckspace.

Probably 5 or 6 plies of 1/8" BB veneer, or a combination of BB and bamboo with triaxial fiberglass layers, etc.

The press isn't even done, so these are all just drawings ATM. The possible lengths go all the way out to 42" so there is a possibility for a drop thru version, which I'm sure you'd like Kyle.

Stay tuned, and start the bugging. The idea is to have a topmount speedboard with no wasted space, and full functionality. Nothing about this deck was put there to make it look pretty. This thing is meant to be a straight up performer.

I've been looking at topmounts so I'll have to take this for a spin when it comes out. I'm also waiting to see what Rus comes up with at the SF

It's not even about competition or anything. The designs are different in many ways. They may look similar, but I'll guarantee you a straight canadian maple deck is going to ride much different than a BB deck with fiberglass and bamboo straight away. They're going to have totally different feels.

I haven't heard too much talking about how similar the LBL Manatee is to the S9 Race. It's not so hard to understand than two different people could recognize the functionality of a certain design. I had this drawn up for months and months. I modified it very slightly over that time, and finally got the project rolling.

The most similar looking deck to this design may be the Elise, but if you dig into the design, you'll find that other than the waist, they're very different decks.
