Re: forty2 - The answer
I left a visitor message on your profile.
"It looks like getting a new board hinges upon me selling my Remington 700, and I'll only know if I want to do that when I get my new rifle. You wouldn't happen to want a rifle would you?? We could arrange a trade =P."

Re: forty2 - The answer
Alright, I still have a few friends that might be interested. I'm gonna try and sell it in time to order by the third week of Sept., since I leave early October for NZ.

Re: forty2 - The answer
#19:
A top mount speedboard is what I've been asked about more than anything else and I've been itching to build one for a while now. I got started talking to a fast local about this build a month ago and this is what we came up with:

Specs: two layers of h-lam bamboo, maple stringer, three layers of carbon fiber, 39" long, 9" wide w/ 7" waist, 30" and 30.5" wheelbase, 4.6lbs.
It was picked up at my house about ten minutes ago and if he likes it he's going to use it at Maryhill, which is just what I was hoping for from the beginning.
Now, all of that said, speedboards are now off the menu. I'm not going to get into why, as it doesn't really matter. They may be back at some point but for the time being that's the way it is. Sorry boys and girls.

Re: forty2 - The answer
Gawd I'm digging the shape, but 9" seems kinda thin?
And a 7" waist? woooohoooooooooo that's really really thin! like anorexic twig thin!
anywho, since speedboards are out of the way, what are you going to be building?
