    Default forty2 - The answer

I'm starting this thread as a place to display all of my builds. I really don't think repeat decks out of the same press need to continue to be placed in the Board Building forum but since every deck is hand patterned and at least a little different it might be good to have them all in one location.

All of my decks are custom built for the recipient so if you aren't willing to wait a few weeks then I'm not your guy. As of right now I've got a build queue that puts me out a couple weeks before starting any new builds.

Pricing for my decks is as follows:
$90 - the baseline, my time, tools, disposables, etc
$10 - each ply of bamboo in a build
    $20 - hardwood stringer
$10+ - fabric, price depends on fabric
$0 - gripping with Jessup and a basic grip pattern of your choosing(or mine)
$? - composites and craziness, depends on what you want.

    Here's a sample:

Thumbs up Re: forty2 - The answer

I've had the pleasure of both meeting Sean & riding some of these boards a couple times now.
All I can say is these are top notch, quality boards. Sean has a definite eye for detail.

All of my decks are made to order, if I don't have a press that already suits what you want, I'll build one, but it'll add to delivery time. That deck specifically was built for a lightweight(115lbs) and uses three plys of bamboo rather than the four that I have used for all the other double drops I've built. Length is 42", width 9.25", wheelbase 33" and ~1/2" concave. There's also about a 10* of wedging in the front.

Thanks for all the compliments. I'm currently finishing up a couple of decks, one of which will be my build off entry, I'm not 100% sure which one yet but both will stay under wraps until August 1st.

Also, a quick note on dancers. Their pricing differs from everything else, they are only $100 with a basic fabric(<$10 per yard) and ungripped up to 60". You want more than 60" get in touch with me and we'll talk about it. More expensive fabric adds only the cost of additional fabric. However, to do dancers I'd like to have at least three pending orders before they get built to make sure I can recoup the cost of materials.

    Coming soon:
dropthrough speedboard(one of the hidden two)
Ceviche type deck, aka the commuter that can ollie
    LDP

One last thing: The best way to contact me would be either through Silverfish PM or email me at forty2longboards@gmail.com. After initial contact we can talk on the phone to make sure the details you would like are understood by me 100%, or if you're in Seattle we can just get together and make it happen.

Sorry for the late reply cam, but the drop on the double drop is about 3/4" to 1"(it rakes a little to the front) below a normal dropthrough deck. Measurements vary a little from build to build depending on the needs of the rider, but essentially it's ~42" long, ~33" wheelbase, and 8.75" to 10" wide.

Also I've been working on a little something new as of late and I thought maybe a little speculation might be fun. I gave it it's first ride today and on the 27th it goes into the hands of someone much faster than I for a true thrashing. The full reveal will be at the end of the month. No, it's not my build off deck but hints at it.

I almost forgot, I'm doing a run of dancers starting on the 27th if anyone's interested. Sample fabric ideas can be found here. Hit me up at forty2longboards@gmail.com if you're interested.
