Hahahahahahahaha: done it, kinda. Was going dh at like 25-30 and marked my hill.

I would be too worried about where it is pointed, and wind when sliding. I could see someone pissing all over themselves.

Oh... +1 for sweet wheels. Got a set in the mail.
    I love longboarding. Especially slope-style free-riding. Mmm.

The Edge... There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
The others- the living- are those who pushed their luck as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down..bowed down. But the edge is still out there.

Oh yeah, give the StreetSnakes a shot. I'm like you in that I do not like the feel of small hard wheels. Probably because I never skated shortboards. First experience was big, fat, cushy thane. I've got the Snakes on a couple of decks and like them for my cruising/carving. There's been plenty of reports of good slide properties, if you're so inclined.

This is another great option. 64m/78a and they ride really nice. The GFH Fatties and Chubbies don't get enough recognition I think.

Cool wheels, with a more aggressive style than others in the market. Very distinct break point, and once you've broken free you're sliding. Quick transition between slip and grip, with a nice plus of being centerset. Leaves nice purple thane lines. Wheels wore extremely well, from combination of good thane and narrow contact patch.

Only downside is a pronounced break in period, but once broken in wheels slide very, very well. Would like to see maybe one or two degrees up in hardness, since, realistically, they don't have much application other than freeriding.
This is Silverfish, take it with a grain of salt. It's fun to come back to at the end of the day, but nothing beats the real deal. Make your own judgments and form your own opinions. Remember whose lens you're looking through!

I love the fact that they're rather soft (80a) of course Powerballs are my favorite wheel in this category..

I need to try amber freerides... I bet I'd dig 'em.

You had trouble with the break-in period? I literally broke mine in in like 3-4 nice colemans.

But i agree, maybe 82/84a would be cool. slide a little farther.
