If you look earlier this page/the page before you will see the wonderfully articulate comparison I made between these and drifters.

Edit: While I have yet to try stimulus, I assume sidewinders break free less expensive.

I can heelside 180 at lower speeds, speedcheck almost as fast as I go on a normal day, and today even busted a few 4wheel checks at around 10mph. I just feel I could learn faster on something easier to break free at lower speeds, and if these are that wheel, then I want some. I'm using my Drifters ALL THE TIME now and I love them, but they aren't perfect. I need something I want somethign soft, that will last a long time, and will be easy to check and do slides at lower speeds, for when I'm cruising or practicing. Even with my limited ability, my Drifters are wearing REALLY fast, and they wear a little oddly, and slow down so they almost stop spinning when I try to coleman at faster pushing speeds.
I used to be a hardcore slalom wheel guy, they were all I would use... then I started doing speed checks and stuff and realised its fun, and I didn't need the extra crazy grip from the sharp-lip wheels, so I converted to more "freeride" style wheels and I love them. Eventually I will try a lot and find my favourite

...Plus the Sidewinders' sweet color and eventual thane lines will be nice with the Hellcat I'm getting =P

EDIT: If not Sidewinders, I'll probably try Slashers or Otangs next...
Check out 81mm Sector 9 Bomb hills. They break out very easily into slides, and they ride smooth and fast.

I find they break free just a tad bit faster than stimulus, and also slide a bit smoother after you break em' in well.

How well do these grip? Also, how plush do these feel? I'm thinking of getting these to put on my in construction Humu for some cruising and carving and maybe pulling a standie here or there to impress any ladies as I cruise by.

Good on New Orleans pavement (rough, rough, rough), but they have a very aggressive slide as they get broken in. I wouldn't describe them as "plush."

I see, would these slide out on me if I were to take a sharp turn at say, 15mph? I might just have to go with some Tunnel rocks.

These are definitely not in the plush zipcode. Not like rolling some slide A's but they're not Gumballs or Avilas either.

Tried josh w.s set this past weekend. They are fun. Smooth slide. Wear texture is similar to kriptos or drifters. Last pretty long too. I wanna get myself a set for my next slopestyle wheel

Oh and they leave nice red thane marks. Saw josh leave some AT LEAST 35foot standie marks.

I tried these wheels breifly on a 5mile proto board. I rode them only when they were fresh and new so I can't really give a review for these wheels. Riding these wheels on maryhill pavement I was suprised by the easy release in the wheel. They were choppy, but I could break them out and get decent length on em. they felt sorta like broken in orange freerides, but keep in mind they were brand new. I expect a much smoother slide once they were broken in cuz they felt pretty soft. I really want to try these wheels further, might have to get a set.

The question is... how much do you have to kill them before they leave said thane lines? From what I've seen only almost-dead wheels leave decent lines

it seems to vary from rider to rider, im sure it has to do with weight of rider, the type of slides being done, type of road surface etc. my powerballs and kryptos left lines throughout their life, of course after being broken in, the line do seem to get a bit more solid towards the end, I imagine thats because theres only a thin layer of the soft urethane and the hard core right under it.

A wheel will leave lines right when they are fresh. The problem is that they're not broken in so you're just not sliding them as hard, therefore not leaving lines

Also as the wheel decreases in diameter it wears faster, lending to larger streaks. Pavement makes a big difference too.

The pavemnt at one of my spots is sharp as hell. The littlest falls give you some nasty rash, and i can look at my lines on the pave, and pick out strips of EW superball the width of the wheel haha
