Default BIG 80 wheels. Info& questions thread

Id like to start out by saying big80/ Jesse Scialfa have been drug through enough ####, all I know is it was nate/riley who gave him a bad name. There will be no hate here just wheel info and answers to any questions you may have.

We are SOLD OUT of the first batch of wheels! Our next batch is being poured now and will be ready in a few weeks. I have some important duro information to share as well, the 80 a pinks ended up being poured in a 76a and still labeled as 80a. The next batch of wheels will be in three duros. 76a still in pink, a true 80a duro (still undecided on color) and the blue 83a which is an accurate 83a. also expect a new graphic! Sorry for the confusion, we've been trying to figure it all out, and now have it on dial.

BTW, this is Brent Dubendorff or Dubester.

How are the 83a for carving and drifting? Not high speed, like 30mph and lower.

How is this being straightened out, who's handling the exchanges for the correct duro's.
A couple weeks ago I rec the 80a's,they felt soft but when I contacted the online store were they were purchased I was told that's just the way they feel.
It's an ok wheel, but not happy that I didn't get the duro I should have

Killer for carving, insane grip. At sub 30 speeds they don't drift....

Please people, this isn't a thread for entertainment, merely enlightenment. LEave now if your going to ask stupid questions, make useless comments or just waste space and make it harder for the people actually looking for information to find it.

Before people ask, ill talk about slide as well as general properties of how the wheels ride.
To start off, this is an enormous wheel in comparison to anything else on the market, the larger mass of a wheel the less nimble it is when correcting lines or just turning in general, the larger mass wants to make the wheel go straight because of the added momentum. This effect makes a deck ride more stable, on the same truck setup. I find myself running much looser trucks with minus5s on than I do any other wheel available, without any compromise in stability, or turn.
Being such a grip oriented wheel, the slide is very predictable. It is not rougher than other large, soft wheels, merely more weight to deal with. Its a weird feeling in comparison to other, smaller wheels, the wheels want to keep going what ever direction they are going. If you want buttery stand up slide wheels, these aren't what your looking for, you'll have to wait for my dubes model wheel to be released later this year before that will be available out of the big80 name. If you want the grippiest wheel on the market, minus 5s are for you. Ive raced the 76a pink duro for paskapoo and maryhill, IN the case where everyone else was on the edge of traction, fighting for the perfect line so they don't slide out and scrub speed, you can take lines way off of anything norm, without giving up any grip or speed. The 83 a duro is plenty grippy as well, but the slide is noticably smoother than 76s. they were great for mary until the tailwinds kicked up, then i went back to the softer ones to deal with the extra speed.

and noone got the wrong wheels. everyone that got pinks got the same exact wheels, poured from the one batch of thane so far, they were simply a bit softer than stated, sorry but they're will be no refunds exchanges or otherwise for this. Sorry, but its simply an error we corrected, were still keeping the 76a because of the numerous great reviews we got and tons of requests for a middle ground between the pinks/blues. This is where we started to figure out what was up and when we discovered the discrepancy between what we thought we had and what we actually had. Not sure what retailer It was you ordered through, but noone knew about this till last week. If you contacted us at big80 before you set em up and rode em, because they felt soft from what you wanted, than it might of been a different story. Sorry, but there is nothing wrong with the wheels, just slightly softer than labeled.
