Default Rotule Longboards / Quebec City

    Hey,

Rotule Longboards is a manufacturer from Quebec City. You may have seen us in the noteworthy of this summer issue of Concrete Wave magazine.

We recently released the last version of our most popular board: the Brainwash. After two years of research and developpement, we've come to this final design and composition. I would say it is the final version as we are FINALLY feeling that there is nothing we could change on this board to make it better.

You can find a full description at:

    Rotule Longboards - Brainwash

We have in stock, and you can buy it NOW.

We always have very good reviews from our customers, they're usally pretty stoked on how the bounce is powerfull while the deck still very stable. We offer high quality products, with a superior finish. We use the strenght of carbon, kevlar and hybrids like no one else.

We are currently prototyping a new deck we've been working on for about six months now : Speed Karrot. Will be out for 2010. This deck is intended for freestyle and downhill. If stand-up shredd is your thing, this is the board you need. We took care to make it just better than the Demonseed (Rayne), the Switch (Lanyachtz) or the Max Erwin (Kebbek).

Look up for the review of the Brainwash in the april issue of Concrete Wave magazine.

Right, we will have some more pictures soon. The concave has a very little "w" in the front, it is very sharp but confortable.

And why is this board so sick?

At the very moment, we are very few to have experiment the Speed Karrot. We believe the stoked new owner's will get from it will spread the word; nothing can compare to the SK.

    But WHY?

It is the truly first board to bring the fun of powerfull carving in a superlight and highly responsive stiff DH/Freeride designed sandwich.

We have developed a more performing construction. It features an exceptional torsionnal stiffness. Which makes it VERY responsive (more than anything else, than any maple deck)

It is a biaxial carbon fiber sandwich, which makes it very powerfull, light and responsive, like high quality skis.

We integrates our Magic Core, a light, stiff and impact-resistant material. It also has vibration dampening properties.

    - Magic Core : An important innovation by Rotule Longboards. It is stiffer and has a better torsional resistance than most foam core. It is also very lightweight, impact resistant and is has the characteristic to significantly reduce vibrations. -

The Speed Karrot has the proper balance between pop and rigidity.

To compare, it has to kind of stiffness of a nemesis or killswitch, but in a very snappy version. It is lighter and has a better torsionnal stiffness.

This deck can do everything you want: DH / CARVING / FREERIDE / PUSH ... STAND UP SHREDD!!

The shape is also has good as the rest. It has a very comfortable dome "w" concave. The board is now 10.15 wide. VERY COMFORTABLE and well designed, with very sharp edges, which litteraly LOCKS your feet.

The Magic Core allows for a more precise shape: it has a better formability and shape retention. It gets strong and stiff during the molding process.

    No warping possible.

    WE also add UHMW protection!!

IT is the sickest thing I have put my feets on.

I weighed the board today: 4.3 lbs or 1957g!

A dervish weighs 3.6 lbs to give an idea. A Hellcat Dee-lite weighs 3.76lbs
    A Evo weighs 6.9 lbs.

Slightly heavier than a Hellcat Dee-lite but almost half the price (because of the efficient way the SK is made).

I've been talking about this board(S/K) in another thread. I think this might be the perfect distance/push race board for me(and a great carver/fun board as well). I only have two concerns 1) That it may have a bit too much concave to be comfortable for long pushes. How does in compare to a Demonseed as far as concave? Is it deeper/sharper, etc? I know it has a "w" in front...is it a slight "w", or really pronounced? I'm just trying to make sure that I'll still love the board after pushing 20 miles. 2)Dampening/Flex. I really want something that has just a bit of give...not a lot, but ideally it would flex just enough to reduce road vibrations and to dampen the hit from cracks/irregularities. Ideally It would also have just the slightest spring when I pushed hard. So that you can better answer, I'll let you know I weigh 220lb's/100kg's. It looks like a perfect fit...and it would feel good to support a company from La Belle Province. I was going to QC and Montreal once or twice a year for awhile. It's been a few years, and I miss it...I need to get back. I look forward to your reply!

Guess that is the way of the custom manufacturers/smaller companies.

Anyways is there a phone number I can call?
