Luv Yo Mutha Soy Wheels
Timeship Racing now has all three sizes of the new soybean based racing wheels from Luv Yo Mutha.
Shapes are similar to a monster hawg or mini-monster hawg. These wheels have amazing roll speed, traction and a very smooth slide. don't believe me, buy a set and them try for yourself.
the REAL green wheel.
luve yo mutha in three sizes, 66mm, 70mm and 76mm. Duro is around 82.
pricing is $50 for 66mm, $55 for 70mm and $60 for 76mm. a little more $$ than a regular hi-end wheel, but well worth it.
check ::TIMESHIP RACING:: Skateboard slide gloves, race gear, etc for details and buy yourself a set before they are all gone!

Re: Luv Yo Mutha Soy Wheels
yes they are exspensive, new technology that deviates from the norm is usually more than the standard product.
these wheels use the same mold as monster hawgs and mini-monster hawgs, so i'm not sure on a exact number on contact patch, but its whatever the hawgs are.

As this technology becomes more common and the global supply of oil shrinks the price difference will invert. It will be sooner than you think; I'd say no more than ten years before soy is standard technology.

Re: Luv Yo Mutha Soy Wheels
any word on the durability?
for fair comparison, let's say, Luv Yo Mutha vs. Hawgs

Re: Luv Yo Mutha Soy Wheels
Are they GITD? *Thinks Wishfully*

Re: Luv Yo Mutha Soy Wheels
Who makes them? As in, do the wheels themselves have a site?

Re: Luv Yo Mutha Soy Wheels
Creation (Satori) makes Soy wheels as well. My homie is riding them on his throwback Powell peralta Barby, and he loves them. I'm not sure what the prices are compareed to the Love Yo Mamma's, but they're killer wheels.
Never Summer Norad
Paris 150mm
Powell Bombers
Never Summer Soldier
Randall R2 180
83mm Flywheels
Super bones and reds.

Re: Luv Yo Mutha Soy Wheels
These are FAST! old man Victor from S9 has them, and keeps up or passes me alot with my 80a Bzigs ( and i consider those my fastest wheels ).
they do drift out a little over turns, ( just noticing from victor ) and he never drifts out ever. lol
They look sick too! i think if your environmentally conscious they are well worth the extra mula for them. ^_^

Re: Luv Yo Mutha Soy Wheels
durability wise, they are quite good. example, i had a brand new set of 70mm wheels that i rode and slid around for a few weeks before heading out on my roadtrip to Paskapoo. rode the luv yo muthas down lookout mountain(lots of corners and drifting) about 10 times that day....at paskapoo i rode them all the first day rackin up close to 20 runs, drifting ever corner. got back home and slid them around for another week or 2 and they, dispite being quite coned, still had about 60mm of than on the inside lip, more on the outside.
yesterday i rode the 76mm wheels, took them up to speed, over 60mph for many miles..i could easily keep up with my friends that i normally ride with, they were riding flywheels, s9. they feel just as fast as anything else.
no the wheels don't have a website, and i think timeship is the only online distributor for them.

Re: Luv Yo Mutha Soy Wheels
I got a pair from Biker Sherlock, his company Dregs makes them. The wheels slide easily, but their design gives you really great control. They really handled the pendulum slides smoothly, coming out of the slides fast, then would hold on very nice all the way through my toeside drift turn (much like ssdrl san clemente hill). They're very fast, are great with high speed controlled sliding, and toeside drift control. after all the sliding, there was very little wear, and still rode very smooth. I have the smaller size, Barny has tried both, Id recomend the bigger size for top speed.
