Alex, you do what you need to.

From someone who has been blessed not only to own one of your boards, but to also meet you personally and hang out with you, I know that you put a lot of care into what you do, and if other things in life need that care over skateboards, do that.

It is just a pasttime after all!

I hope things lighten up soon for you. You deserve it more than anyone. Thanks for the influence and the stoke for slalom (and Becks) that you've given me since I've known you here.

    Simon.

P.S. If you ever head down this way, e-mail me if you need a place to stay, even if you e-mail me from outside my front door! You did it for me, I'll do it for you.

Life's a bitch, isn't it? The sporting goods business is fickle and not often a source of wealth. I will miss viewing your techno-decks, but I hope you will still keep up with us as a skater. All the best for your future, Alex, and remember, the chinese have one word that means both "crisis" and "opportunity."

I hope your sister can pick up a new sponsor, too!
Screw you guys, I'm goin home!

much respect to stoke you have spread, and the lucky few who have your decks are just that. I wish you the best in all endevors and either way if anything changes or even if it doesn't the fish will always be there...
The sage, Longboard Buddha once said, "A tree spends 100% of its lifetime in a static environment and only after its reincarnation as a deck is it allowed to move at fast speeds...
when allowed, the wood will give thankless service if
    allowed to flow."

alex - you're a awesome builder and a nice guy. thanks for the mp3 album a while back. i also, like so many others, dreamed of owning one of your decks. the foamcores are awesome, hopefully you get into building again after things get better. you made a lot of people happy with your decks. you should feel really proud of that. making a difference in peoples lives is a great thing.

    best of luck

I'm right there with you bro... that's really why Mauiline went down. I got my **** together, thought about what I had time to really commit to without compromising the basic responsibilites of life.

Now I still build and I have a life outside all that.

I wish you the best, You'll do well I'm sure because you're "akamai"

You are a great man, and it is sad to see you go. I am sure it would only cause you more (unwanted) greif for me to say that it sucks soo bad and all, so I won't go into that. I am sorry to see you stop making skateboards (for now...) but on the other hand, it is good too see you getting back on track with the real world. Do what you have to do, and get back to us when you get the chance! I will certainly miss seeing the posts of how much people love their new wefunk decks... But good luck, and stay focused! Everything WILL turn out for the best!

And remeber... if anything gets you down, Go Skate! Night sessions always do me good...

Well.. damn.. guess I won't be getting a Wefunk anytime too soon (been hoping for the dollar to rebound a bit and for me to get a decent job again)....

Sounds like your head and heart are in the right place... You gotta do what you gotta do... just remember.. you seem to have a special gift for making boards that look and (by all accounts) ride fantastic. I hope you will be able to find the balance you seek and maybe one day you can make me a Wefunk.. take care..

I would rather have you happy than have you depressed surrounded with bitchin' skateboards.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
