    Thumbs up Carving UPHILL

These Kuwmaz Carve System boards actually carve uphill! Lower to the ground, no wheelbite, full suspension, Indy trucks, and these revolutionary springs that replace the grommetts in the trucks. Has anybody tried one? Watch the youtube of this guy carving UPHILL to the top of a 4 level parking structure at rush hour. Youtube "Kuwmaz"

IMO, Fk that! He looks like he is about to have a heart-attack! Imagine doing that up a real hill? You would die of exhaustion!...and above the movement looking relatively retarded, rip sticks do a better job...so if you wanted to go original retard, get a rip stick.

I prefer to walk up the hill with my board under 1 arm, take in the view, then blur the lines of reality on the way down...with trucks that loose I think you may have a hard time fighting the death wobbles on the way down, leading to the blurring of your face across the road.

Video for everyone to laugh at. Doesn't look like he's carving, I would call it pumping.

pfff.... pavedwave please post that one video on your site of the guys going uphill please.

thats pumping uphill... this... this is just moderate pumping at most.

any LDP setup will allow you to go uphill easy. specially on such mild slopes like that.

over-hype and the usual "WE'RE BETTER THAN EVERY OTHER SKATEBOARD" aside, there's some interesting ideas here.

a floating wheelbase extender? it kinda suspends the deck from the trucks a bit, which is kinda cool. durability seems a bit suspect.

spring-based bushings? bushing/original hybrid? cmooon. you know you wanna try it. but again, durability seems suspect.

and the wheels don't look bad. at least they were smart and used a tried and true shape.

The uphill demonstration is only to show the capability. The suspension offers the smoothest ride of any board I have ridden..... Otherwise I would not have wasted my time with it. On steep downhills the board recovers from drifting powerslides instead of highsiding you. The spring arrangements give the board a surf feel as grommetts apply a constant resistance that increases the more it is compressed. These springs articulately respond. Try one... You won't be disappointed. Anybody in SD CA? Let's go ride...

They are pretty bullet proof. One prototype got ran over by a city bus. I was using Thunder Trucks at the time. The bearings fried, the hanger ring split, the axles bent, the hanger itself bent, and the kingpin and base were also bent. The suspension bars, deck, (with a pavement pattern on the bottom veneer) and springs all survived. My patent covers almost every board shape including, shortboard, Big Wave Gun, twin fin, single fin, and snowboard. I apologize about the claims if they come across wrong... I'm just an inventor. Not a marketer. Maybe I'm just better off asking you to try one. It will not disappoint you.

I'm pretty intrigued as to how a setup with enough grip to pump well somehow slides well...

    Make up your mind.

I'm always for innovation - I like crazy ideas - but I'm really not seeing much innovation here. I see a more "surfy" truck on a shlongboard... I'm not exactly sure how your "leaf springs" work, but shock absorption is already covered by bushings, damping flex, and shock pads.

I'd like to see how it performs in disciplines other than pumping... maybe you're on to something, but so far I'm not convinced.

Don't be too haard on the Guy advocating this board!...Maby that board is so super awesome because you can pump it hard on the wheels but then do a kickflip and darkslide it around corners....probably wouldnt throw you off then!

I am going to be in South Western CT the 18th - 22 of Nov. Let's ride if you are around.

I wasn't looking to reinvent the wheel just because I wanted something different. When the springs compress, they are metal so they can't be compressed any more preventing wheelbite. When they de-compress, the action is smooth rather than super reboundy as urethane is. Urethane can always be squished a little more giving way to the wheelbite.

The bars never touch the deck so they provide "travel", and a lower center of gravity. No cutouts for the wheels either. I have a 4 foot sector 9 I converted with Randall 180's. That thing can be pumped uphill too.

If you can make it up to UConn, I'd totally be down to skate the 18th or 19th (I'll be away that weekend)

Seriously, If you can make it up here I'd love to try one of these out... the more I look at it, the more I want to understand exactly how it works. 8)
