GnarDeal longboard Shirts is changing it up
Hey everyone. I created a thread on gnardeal a while back and had lots of interest, but I just wanted to start a fresh thread because I'm making some sort of bigger changes.
***Background Info****
If you don't know The GnarDeal is a little company I started this past year to make longboarding shirts. We've done a ton of different designs. You can find check out our photos on the facebook page to see them.
****END***
Now I'm changing up how I do business. It's sort of a little experiment. I'm dropping the prices basically as low as I can go, and only selling 1 shirt design each week. This week its the My Life is Going Downhill shirt. It's only on sale until Friday. After that a new design will go up and I'll be shipping them the following week. Check out the updated and still under construction website. Give me some feedback, and if you like the design order a shirt. They're $13 plus $3 shipping.

The Gnar Deal - Shirts for longboarders, created by a longboarder
Thanks
Noah @ GnarDeal

i like that shirt because its subtle. i dont want to flaunt my hobby by wearing a really obvious shirt of some guy on a longboard going down a mountain. i much prefer the sublte approach. people should see its a longboard t-shirt only on the second look, or maybe even not at all if they arent in the scene. yet i still want to love the t-shirt because it reminds me of my passion when i wear it.
the first shirt does that well, kudos.

Thanks for the complement. I'll keep that in mind for some of my future designs.

Just a few things
My life is going downhill shirts
Order fast if you want one. They're only available until tomorrow morning at 8am.
I checked on shipping to Norway and it looks like it'll be about $10. If you're international and want a shirt, go ahead and place the order then we'll figure out the shipping charge later as long as you're willing to pay the additional cost.

Kudos on using Maryhill for the shirt. Looks sick.
Ton's shirt looks cool too, but, as was said, it's much less subtle.

Thanks!!! New "Shirt for the Week" posted last night at midnight....
Just think of how badly this one could be taken if it was a more subtle design....

Re: GnarDeal longboard Shirts is changing it up
As i said in FC, you shouldkeep the other shirts up, but charge more so it would be like "shirt of the week" and eventually every month you can take the oldest one down, or untill they sell out.

For now, because of time and money. I need to just keep it one shirt a week. During the summer, or once I have a little more cash to invest, there's a good chance I'll have more shirts available at the same time, and they'll be pre-printed. That would be the ideal situation, to speed up shipping and to allow people to choose the design they like best, but for now this is all I can handle. I do however have a few extras of the older shirts that I may put up for sale. There is only a few of them though, and i need to get em counted before I post them.

Re: GnarDeal longboard Shirts is changing it up
cool shirts, but I don't care for the new business model.
having to constantly watch for what's available is a pain in the a**.
as a customer I want whatever I want, whenever I feel like it. convenience rules the day.
if you have to charge a couple of more bucks to do it, it beats missing the sale altogether...
in any case, this is just one opinion - and I wish you the best either way.

i agree but i'm pretty sure he's doing it because of time and money constraints, not because its a better business model. Noah doesn't have a sweatshop like nike, he's got to silkscreen(?) one kick ass shirt at a time and it's easier to keep up with demand if you just have to crank out a ton of one design.
hopefully in the future he can just sit back and design while employees make the shirts
it could be sooner than you think too, if the employees come from behind the home depot

To be honest, I completely agree. i really do want to get back to where I can have all the shirts available at once, but as a full time college kid I can't invest enough of my time. (I've also work at Applebee's as a server, and teach snowboard lessons at the local mountain)
I hope that the shirts being available for a week will reduce the "pain in the a**" factor. Unlike steep and cheap, and whiskey militia where stuff is only available for a half hour.
^^^^Typed that I guess right as Geoff was posting. He pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Regardless, cool shirts and cool company man!
That's a great idea. I'll get in touch with him. Thanks for the info.
