    Default MHS/Subsonic Highland 42 decks

These are supposed to ship to me on Monday, July 25. That puts them in Colorado on the 28th. There will be three of the 3/4" thickness, and one of the 5/8" thickness. Blue stain finish, wheel wells, and comes with the Subsonic "Hurricane" grip. Specs are as follows:

    Length: 42.75"
    Width: 11.50"
    Wheelbase: 33.25" (newschool mounting pattern)
    Concave: 0.55"
    Drop: 1.5"

The nose and tail each have a -5 degree effective wedge. With 180mm Seismics and 1/8" soft risers, I've not experienced wheelbite with 85mm wheels. Smallest recommended wheel size is 75mm.

Price will be somewhere between $95 and $100. While I'm certainly biased, many of the local Silverfishers have ridden my prototype, and given it positive reviews.

I'm really digging the Subsonic line of decks. Will you be getting any others in? I would really like to get my hands on one of their drop-thru decks that are posted in the "future" section (not sure if they are swifts or reflex decks, because the description calls them both.). I've emailed them via the contact provided and have not received any responses.

    thanks

We're hoping to have some of the Swift 38's soon.

Any news on the possible Swift 40? I was not able to buy one due to car repairs so I am still in the market for one.

No updates on a 40. Scott is so swamped that scheduling a prototype has been impractical. Plus, with the season winding down (for most folks), it doesn't make sense to do them right now.

    Winding down?
With 95-100 degree heat here, the riding season is going to be blown wide open with cooler fall temps. I understand that my climate is more skatable than most, thaugh. But who knows, my board flavor changes weekly so I might still need to buy one when You have time to get a proto.

We now have just one of these left (firm flex). The recommended rider weights are on the conservative side, so if you're over 210# by a bit, don't sweat it (I'm 210, and have been riding the med flex for months).

While I'm biased, these are very versatile boards. Garages, carving, bombing, cruising -- it can do it all. We do, however, recommend a min wheel size of 75mm, to avoid scraping.
