actually mjkam, if you were to have talked to me at all, i've never liked or promoted any of clb's products. when i saw clb coming out with his "new" boards, i realised that they seemed alot like some boards already on the market. in such a small community as ours, you do not steal other peoples ideas, and simply just add your own sticker to it and call it your own.
funny how clb started biting roe, rayne, roggs, wefunk, and other misc companies, and to see how he is now. karma really does come around doesn't it?

I think your full of sh*t, look at Rayne and Kebbek. The Rayne Avenger was made and sold. It was and still is a great deck and still sells very very well. Kebbek came out with the Revenger, no one denies its the same shape and everything, right down to the cutouts for hauling your deck back up the mountain. It just as great as the Avenger if not better in many peoples eyes, and sells very very well. Friendly copycating is good for this industry, in alot of cases it promotes better quality products, and sometimes better prices. Its funny you seem to care about this little community, but your against one of the many things that will make this community better.

Not to justify Julian's practices of recent, but shapes are limited (or should be) to functionality! Un less an actual tracing of a shape is used it's not truly copycating! Take skis and snowboards for example...are there similarities from brand to brand?
Skateboards are limited to truck mounts, concave, over all shape, cut outs and wheel wells etc...there are bound to be overlaps in designs!
Oh....did I mention Julian is a putz for what he's done to soo many young investors in his product?

Re: Where's Julian?
Dave,
I understand there are only so many functional shapes, but jeez, you dont have to make it almost identicle. A little creativity helps. I mean, they are just too close.
To the other guy,
The revenger was a rip at rayne for copying a board of kebbeks.

Re: Where's Julian?
In Julian's defense, when we were designing the foamie topmount he actually wanted to go with a different shape so that it would look a little different from the topbone. I convinced him out of it, because I like that "full" kind of shape for that style board.

you obviously are not familiar as to why it's called the "revenger" in the first place. it's deliberately a pun, ian know's he's biting rayne's avenger, and he's getting "revenge" for the demonseed being similar to the flushcut

I kind of agree with clnh5 about the 'stealing ideas' thing.
I also think that there really isn't anything truly new in board shapes. Physical and functional limitations mean that pretty much any shape will just a variation of what is already been done.
It seems to me that board individuality is now found in materials and the ability to custom build to the customers tastes both of which (regardless of the quality of his business practice) CLB seemed to previously be able to cater for.

Here's Julian!
Make sure you hit up the pie shop when you're there. They have a righteous apple crisp.
And the road down into Banner is great too. Might be good longboarding.
