Re: Where's Julian?
Well, looks like he's back and starting to issue refunds. However, I now have to wait another few days since he's sending my money back to me in the form of a money order...i assume that's because it's been more than 90 days; at which point I can't file anything with PayPal, and at which point my bank/VISA won't refund my money directly to my account.
Here's the very brief e-mail he sent me this morning:
Jeremy,
Let me first apologize for the unprofessional way I have acted. I will be sending you a money order for the full amount.
Julian
I'm still bitter, but at least he finally responded...

Hmm, Chicago is about a five-hour drive from here. If y'all send me some gas money, I can go kidnap him at gunpoint. Then, all of you can post your requests for humiliating things you would like to see him do.

Nah, with my ties to the extremely powerful and very well-known Cape Girardeau Mafia, anyone who tries to charge me with anything will disappear into the Ozarks and never be heard from again.
But whatever, I hope all of you get your money back and stuff.

There's a noticeable difference. That's why I got custom boards. Is there a difference between a revenger and avenger? Most people seem to say, Yes.

The argument doesn't care why they won't do it. Only that they won't do it. There reasons are not a concern. The point is, Julian would do it when no one else would. I don't think anyone expects Kebbek, or any other manufacturer, to do custom jobs. That's what made Julian awesome. You called him, and he'd make your board.

Re: Where's Julian?
steve at insect does custom work, and am currently working with him on a very revolutionary deck. he also does it at a reasonable price, as well as has the best customer relations I've ever had with any one in anything that I've asked for something custom. he's an awesome guy, and recommend anyone in search of custom work to give him a shout.
any way, i'll post when i get my refund. i wonder if Julian will continue his business?

Re: Where's Julian?
Money returned (through VISA) it didn't take half as long as VISA told me it would, so I suppose the money was returned without argument. I would guess that Chicago Longboards is done.

I ordered a MHS epipen, it was delaminating.
I decided it was too low and I was gonna get a scorpion as a replacement.
Today I decided that I couldn't wait anymore and I ordered a hellcat while they're on sale at MHS.
Hopefully I get a refund, worse case I have to sell a never ridden scorpion (not likely).

worst case you don't get a refund or the board? but i'm gonna guess you'll get the refund cause Julian is apparently refunding everyone's money now...good for him...and i agree with ryan, I don't think this'll happen again so if he gets back in the business I want a foamie topmount

Re: Where's Julian?
I know I'm opening up a can of crap right now but what is the big deal about clb "ripping off' other peoples designs? Not saying that what he did to all his customers was right. It really sucks. But as far as him stealing designs, hasn't Alex from Wefunk stopped making boards? It's what his site says. If so, where are you going to get boards like his Unless someone copies them. Besides Alex has posted plenty of times about how to make a board just like his http://www.silverfishlongboarding.co...ion-101-a.html
It seems to me that he could give two shlits if some one copied him, ya know giving instructions on how to do so and all, so why should you? Because you cant?

Re: Where's Julian?
there's no such thing as ripping off designs in the longboard industry.
