Thanks, Bucksaw. I've actually been in contact with Jessica, his wife. Supposedly I was getting my Paypal refund in February. Nope. Since then, I've sent her more e-mails but haven't heard back. I am not going to sweat it too hard, just chalk it up to "it's a crazy world" type of thing. If I get my refund, cool. If not, ????? I'm a firm believer in Karma, and that whole situation with Julian is just a f*cking Karma sewer drain I don't want any part of anymore. Glad to see some peeps got their money, back, though.

I'm not accepting anything. I want my $175 and I want it 2 months ago. I'm a firm believer in: "You owe me money, now pay or your leg is gonna meet my steel pipe."

You are all assholes for accepting that he's just going to take your money and give you absolutely NOTHING in return. You should be ashamed of your selves, you've let him just walk all over you

srsly, for such a relativly small amount of money, people really should just count it a loss and move on to a degree, as they have been.. you dont hire a lawyer of $200. pretty soon it costing you more money than you could recieve. i also think most people here feel bad for jullian and wish him the best. he is a good guy, just some bad thing happened and he did not have a solid enough business plan to handle it. he probably should have been charging twice what he was to be prepared for a bad batch of boards

Small claims court does not require legal representation. You have the legal system, and all necessary documentation. Use it. Because you sure as hell aint getting your boards.

If you paid via PP or CC just due a chargeback. Keep waiting and that privilege will disappear.

my friend ordered a scorpion for 130 or whatever they are and never got his money back. Paypal said it was too late to get his money back and he cant really do anything. I guess instead of getting a lawyer he could just call the cops and report him for stealing but its still a lot of work. My guess is this guy got away with a boat load of cash for doing nothing. Ive had a CLB for almost 2 years and still ride it to this day but this guy found a great way to be hated by the entire skate community.

his boards looked great, but he was gone before i even considered one of them. Sounds like a really unprofessional thing to do on his part, but i guess the world works like that sometimes.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cold beer in one hand - longboard in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, Yeaa Haaa What A Ride!!!

I know $175 is a reasonable amount of money, but there are bigger things in life to worry about than how you're out $175.

It's sort of sad how people like you are so attached to money and commodities.

    Let it go.

Actually, It's sad how people like you are so detached from compassion and human response to being f*cked over.

It goes well beyond the money issue for most people, and a recompense monetarily is all they can hope for in terms of a resolve. If you can't see that then it's very unfortunate for you. Go be green and let bygones be bygones while people in this thread discuss what they feel about being screwed.

Let me guess, you didn't order a board from CLB and probably never even heard of him until you stumbled onto the Fish? How about you let it go and post about what you know.

Well my response was mainly due to the fact that he called the guy a "bastard," which I think is really unfair, similar to anyone else calling him similar names.

As far as I understand, he didn't start up the whole business as a front to steal people's money, so it's not like it was a dastardly scheme which would warrant demonizing CLB.

And no, I haven't ordered a board from CLB, and you're right about not having heard of CLB until I've joined SF. I don't see why it matters. I've had large sums of money owed to me before (tried to sell stuff and got a bounced cheque, person disappeared) and yes it blows and hurts that you've trusted someone and they break that, but it's only money. It can be earned back. It's not personal.

I understand that it can go beyond the money issue, but then I would expect more than comments about how "that asshole/bastard/some variation owes me $XXXXX". To me, the choice of words suggests that the money issue trumps anything else.

Doesn't matter why he did it or what the originating intent was, be it respectable or not. Matter of fact is he took orders he never delivered on. In my humble and ignorant opinion that is an act that would directly warrant demonizing.

If you don't deliver what you are paid for you are a thief.

If you don't face up to why you did it you are a coward.

This world is lacking in honor and respect and it's companies like that that lower the bar and allow others to compare their faulty customer service as excusable.

To back that up I have personally taken money out of my own pocket to cease business with companies that practice those sort of acts.

If Julian wants to refund all the orders he hasn't delivered on and explain why it happened, that would be a pretty good start.

Until then wave the torches and raise the pitchforks.

Don't suggest that. If people followed that advice this would be a VERY quiet forum.

While it is a bad scene, and a lot of "younger" guys have lost funds that they probably sacrificed big for, it is something you have to accept as a fact. My main contention is that if Julian is not behind bars or in some other way unable to access the net.. He needed to at least come forth and publicly explain his situation and plan of action. Not shroud it in drama and lay it in his wife's lap to deal with. Karma is a strong force, and will prevail. That being said, if someone were law savy, considering this was mostly done over the internet, I'm sure it is in violation of Federal Law and the penalties are greater. A lien could be placed on him, and that would make his entire family suffer in the future..Is that what you want? I agree with Kai, and have spent personal monies to punish individuals for wrong business practices, but in this instance nobody knows what truly happened.
