actually yes, i am literate, and although there was a suggestion of someone going to see julian, nobody from the chicago area said they would check it out, and no reply was posted in response to that particular post.

It's not really a "whatever" or "no big deal" situation when you just go away without telling people while you're running a business. People have given you money expecting product in return, yet they are left with all of these questions.

Already I got a few theories...

1. Extra-Terrestrials saw his boards and were pleased, they did not understand how to obtain one so they decided it would be wise to abduct the creator. As we speak he is being forced to build skateboards for alien creatures in the darkest quadrants of Zarkon 5.

2. The government decide that his boards were giving people to much of a sense of freedom so they very quietly shanghaied him and sent him to russia to work o the docks under the false identity Eegor Cullishmeinham.

3. He decided that life was just to complicated even bothering to say goodbye would be a waste of good energy, so he hitched a ride to tibet and is meditating on the true energy of life and what that really means, and hasn't shaved since november.

4. On day in his workshop he came across a magical set of wheels and they transported him to a magical land filled with fighting polar bears and everyone has a little animal that follows them and they work in magical toy shops that are actually alive and they spend their time using historical knowledge to find treasure and to keep from getting killed by vampire zombies that live in new york and the only thing scarier than the zombies are american gangsters that kill teenage girls that get pregnant and serial killing barbers.

dont worry, im sure he's fine, he just ditched on us. my theory is that the boards were costing him alot of money and he didnt have much if any profit so when they all started de-lamming he had to ditch to save his ass.


there are a number of SF hype companies that i have never and will never even consider buying a board from. CLB was one of them ever since he first started posting. luckilly for me his disapearance will not be affecting my pocketbook. nothing against julian though, just not my type of company

I live in the city and have traveled to Forest Park to pick up decks from Julian, but I dont know where he lives and wouldnt feel comfortable going to his home anyway. What I dont get is why Julian would pick one random person to tell he is alright and not everyone at once.

I don't know how half of you keep your cool with this whole situation, if i gave someone money and they bailed i would IRATE it comes down to respect and honesty that shows none of it. If you are bro'ing people boards that's one thing but to engadge in a full on business is a completely different situation. Regardless of the circumstances there is no excuse, and there should have been updates on website/myspace/etc. if there was an issue.

Like it was said before hopefully you guys used PayPal, and if you haven't already cancled your transaction than i highly suggest you do now, his boards aren't cheap

I paid my deposit on 10/29, and used PayPal. That was for five decks. I believe I'm now past the window of opportunity to file a complaint. Frankly, I've already written it off as a loss.
