Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
Good idea. Here are the dimensions:
Wall Mounted Version
------------------------
Height:31.5"
Width (Shelf):24.25"
Width (Racks):12.5"
Depth:6.5"
Depth (Each Slot):4.5"
Floor standing Version
-----------------------
TBD (Building the first this weekend.)
Be sure to make allowances for the length of your fully setup decks.
Thanks again for getting me to post this, I totally missed that.

Cool!!!
Dimensions? (and how far does it stick out from the wall?)
They both look so good! Crap. Now I don't know which one to choose...

I will post the dimensions tonight. My template is at the house. That one was a one off, but I can reproduce it now. Shouldn't take near as long now that I have a template. Hour or so at most. (minus going to get the materials)

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
i have a nissan 350z and would like to be able to throw a rack for 2 boards in there. not sure of the dimensions of the trunk, but i know ive fit a 46 inch deck rather snugly, let me know roughly how much it would cost and also if you need me to send you pics of the trunk and dimensions in order to quote me.

Actually, i have a buddy that has a 350 that I can size it in. Probably 25 bucks plus shipping for a 2 slot rack.
Do you want it carpeted?
Also, what two boards and how are they set up?

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
carpeted would be awesome! how much more would it be for that? also if i wanted to add a slot for a mini ( 20-24 inch) how much more would it be?

3 slots and carpeted, probably 35, since it requires more materials (glue, carpet, etc.) it shouldn't be all that hard, probably take me about 45-60 min to knock it out.
I did custom car audio for 10 years early in life. so it will just be standard salt and pepper sub box carpet.
I need to know the details of your quiver tho. send me a pm if you don't want to advertise. completely cool. i can make it this weekend and ship it monday.
as long as you don't live in okinawa, hehehehe (slops57, his shipping was MURDEROUS.)

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
i have a 20inch Arcane mini id like to carry everywhere its just that cool
i also have a 38 inch fibreflex modified deck for LDP, and plan on getting a dedicated LDPer. in the sizes of maybe 38-40 ( so i dont know if the heavy risers will make a difference)
so id like to make two slots for an average size longboard and maybe one for a mini, also... how much trunk space do you think ill have left after? with 2 slots and with 3? a slot for the mini and the LDPer would be ok too without the slot for the second normal size board.
i just would like to be able to have a clean trunk well organized and be able to keep my boards there without them banging all over the place.

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
You can guarantee that if you put a coke can in your trunk, you have no more space. I need to think about this one. And take a look at my buddies car. I'll see if i can get him to come by. if not, there is someone at my work that has one i can measure and look at. give me a day or so. not a standard big ass trunk, you know...

Actually Rogdon, I might trade you this project for a logo. I have a prelim, but i need it prettied up. I am going to start producing some LDP decks that I have wanted to build for a while now. Here is the prelim for you to get an idea:

I reshaped a Dervish. The brackets can be acquired from Mark at G|Bomb. Just look at the order page.
That cover it for ya?

Floor standing Version

Height(Wall Mounted): 45"

*No, I have not had one come off the wall yet. The load is vertical, not horizontal. It is recommended that you load largest boards from the bottom up when wall mounted. The rack is pulled tightly against the wall with 4 points fixed.
Hope this answers most of the PM questions I have been getting.
