Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
What do you need string? I do the 6 board leaner on occasion, but mostly I hammer out the production 5 board rack. If you want something special, let me know.

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
I never heard anything from him. Maybe he's locked into selling through Stoked.
I finally made two of my own. The 20 board, double sided rolling rack. Then made a single sided 10 board rack and put furniture sliders under it.
Square, skillsaw, drill with one bit and a cross tip, pen, pencil, some screws and wood. With nothing but visuals from other racks shown in the fish, an afternoon (each) and you can make your own. Go for it.

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
Is this the kind you want?

70 plus shipping. I can make it by Wednesday.
Not locked into Stoked. Was on vacation for a bit and had a broken shoulder for a while. Sorry if I missed you 8ftbed. Glad you had fun making your own.
Whatever you need String, let me know. chaddhall<@>gmail is easiest to get me.

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
I followed the GFH add to look at those wheels they're advertising. Snooping around their site, here's a 10 board standing rack for $80

LOL, that's awesome man. Your literary prowess is quite potent!

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
For the money the GFH racks really are a great deal. There is a lot that ends up going into making a rack and with the finish work they are a pain. The GFH Boards racks come lacquered where many others do not.

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
off topic slightly but will serve to keep this bumped up and maybe generate business for Camel...
GFHBoarder... are you riding their wheels? How about the Chubbies, have you tried them yet?

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
I agree with GFH on the finish work. It's a pain. I did that for a while but it raised the price. I just do a finish sanding and some wood putty. That leaves it ready for paint by the end user. It keeps it cheap enough for college students which is my general market looking at most of the orders. I finally built one of my production racks for myself, I had the original prototype on the wall forever. I mounted the new one below it. Now I can rack 10 boards. Keeps the garage nice and neat. With the added plus of 2 shelves for stray parts, wheels, pads, etc...

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
Why yes I did. It was a cracked Dervish, so no foul.

Re: Anyone interested in custom racks/storage?
My problem is this. i am building boards. i am going to move out of my parents house back to texas to college, in a friends house back there. i need a 5 board rack now, but i will need a larger rack while back there. is thee any way i can get a say, 7-10 board rack for back there when the times comes. i don't know it i need it to be a wall, or a floor yet. i need to talk to my friend. i just want to make sure that my eccentricities don't take up too much space.
right now my quiver is this
50" dancer
40" Cindirch 3P
soon to have a Deeznutz
36" single kick
37" beater board (soon to remake now that i have enjoyed the shape)
but there are so many board ideas in my head, and CAD'ed in my computer. i just need to start doing some more building.
just shoot me a PM so we can get the ball rolling. thanks
