yup its definitely has a good bit of flex. I would say a medium flex. i don't have any video of people riding the board with its final construction, (though i might be able to get some filming down over winter break). if i get a chance i'll post up a flex test video.

The custom carbon dropthough for partninjas is done. 40" long, 1/2" radial concave

also a brand new feature on this board, theres an extra 1/8" ply of wood laminated at the mounting areas to strengthen the cutouts. the exrta ply is sanded at an angle to lock in the outside of your feet, similating an 1/8" drop but without the concave flattening out like most dropped boards.

I'm planning on using this for all carbon dropthroughs from now on, and even trying it out on the UNF possibly even with 1/4" of "drop".

The UNF platform will be my savior. Hopefully I never dangle toes in the wheel well again and go down in toebite flames.

Hey guys, I just spent some time updating the website, added 20 or so boards to the Photo Gallery. and two videos to the Video Gallery.

Also, I'm officially on a hiatus from taking custom orders. I'm extremely busy with my senior year mechanical engineering curriculum, and in what free time I do have for board building I'm working on some prototypes for TuTone Skateboards.

Two new boards went out this weekend.






Carbon Dropthough: Obviously the goal for this board to have a nice subtle/low key look to it. Its 3/8" thick with some deep concave, this results in a board that has some flex to it but with a concave that will lock you in.

Seasoned Carver: By request the cutouts were modified on this board to have a more dramatic curve to them, the result is cutouts that give a bit more clearance for wheels and also allow for more foot room, It also has mild concave and mild camber, with a few inches of flat in the middle. This seems like it will work very well and will likely be the new standard shape for he seasoned carver.

I'm planning to make an entirely carbon board by vacuum infusion. i was wondering how many layers it would take to have no flex. Of course i'll use different weaves and densities.

Nope, 8ftbed pimped 169's on SZ axle extensions. This UNF is even hotter than the model.

hey im looking for a relatively cheap campus cruiser, flat land enjoyable board.. i was considering the carbon drop thru with some paris 180 and i already have some 80 a zombies.. was just wondering if the board is light or heavy and how flexy the flex is.. thanks.. and btw would the setup im considering work well for some campus cruising/carving? thanks

Yup that is correct, just graduated in May and trying to figure out how the building is going to fit into my life. The custom boards thing was fun and allowed me to try new stuff and get a lot of experience with building, but as with anything if you do it enough it will turn into a job and in this case a job with a very small profit margin.

So for the future the options are:
-building just for fun (for myself and friends etc)
-starting up the custom orders again but at higher prices
-going into semi production by cranking out small runs of boards to sell
-or designing boards and having them manufactured probably in runs of 50-100.

So we'll see how everything goes.
