I really like the look of the exposed carbon. I'd love to see an LDP deck made like that...would that be something you'd be into making?

Yes, I can definitely make the cruiser with some carbon fiber, it would just be an extra $10 or so.

Making the cruiser with carbon would allow me to use less wood while getting a similar flex, though in my experience boards with carbon tend to have a snappier flex, compared to a board with just wood or wood and fiberglass.

bumpity bump....these decks look sick. i love to see a small builder getting his name out there. i'd definitely rather deal with a person rather than a company when ordering a board. Any ideas for a dh board? also, peep my thread...we should team up in the future!

As for a DH board, the carbon drop-thgrough from my last post with the red on top was made for dh, it had an extra layer of 1/8th in BB and a deep 1/2in concave. (as a test i put it on 1in text books and tried my best to get it to hit the ground after trying me best). though based on what I have seen in other dh decks having it taper in the back would probably be advantageous for drifting and what not.

I'm definitely up for teaming up in the future we can probably work something out where i could send you a blank for a discounted rate and you could do your thing.

To tittyfish, yup you could definitely get a board with a custom shape graphic and it would have the same pricing as the other boards on the site, I actually prefer making custom boards as it is more interesting and exciting then just reproducing previous boards. Generally for a custom board you can either give me some ideas/drawings and I'll work with that to come up with a photoshop mock up of the board and go back and forth with the customer making revisions until the customer is satisfied with the design, at which time the payment would be made and the board would be built. or in nthhrepo's case he just completely designed the board himself and i made it.

heres some examples of the photoshop mock ups that were made for the last few boards (the orange mini was designed 100% by ntthrepo so i can't take credit for that one)


and thanks a lot arcane, it means a lot. You've done a great job coming up with really nice original and functional boards while keeping your prices very reasonable as well as creating a great reputation here on the fish. I hope everything is working itself out in your personal life, it seems like once everything is sorted out you have lots or people ready to order some boards from you.

Personally I would go with just fiberglass as it is somewhat it the middle, it's a bit more lively then plain wood, but still more mellow then FG+carbon. imo it makes for a good cruiser. but it's all personal preference.

I live in New Jersey, USA but will ship to pretty much anywhere, generally within the continental US shipping is about $10-15

shipping overseas can vary greatly and is mostly based on weight, generally it comes out to $40-50 for a longboard deck, but for example if you get mini with no trucks etc it might be about $30-35 or so, but if you get a longboard with trucks/wheels ect that more or less doubles the weight and the shipping can get up to $70-80.

I'm offering a custom board at a discounted rate, thanks to a miss-pressed deck, there's nothing structurally wrong with it it has about 1/5" of camber and was supposed to have concave all the way through rather than just having concave on the ends (I tried pressing to many plies at once, so it did not conform to the foam mold properly).

An update has been made to the Order section of the website. allowing you to make your own custom truck and wheel package. containing brands such as Paris, Randal, Bennett, Indy, Tracker, Abec 11, Earthwing, gravity, Orangatang, Kryptonics etc.

All ordering is still done through e-mail to ensure that the design and specs of each custom board is are up to the customers satisfaction before any payment occurs. But the update will easily allow you to out your own truck/wheel package together, and the submit button is jsut there to e-mail me your options.

I'm still working on having the total automatically updated and displayed but my web programming skills aren't quite there yet.

A new Mini/Pool Board truck/wheels package is also now available for $61 containing:
- Tracker 129, 139, or 149 Trucks
-Kryptonics Classic K 65mm (78a) clear wheels
-Speedy Lunatics abec 7 bearings
-Hardware, speed rings

in this package substitutions are possible

on a side note thanks to the people at Crail and Mile High Mark, I will soon have a drop through cutout designed to fit crails.
