Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
I just pout together a video from footage a took at a session on tuesday, here it is. It's at a sweet new spot i found, nice hills, smooth pavement, almost no cars, and park rangers that are cool with skaters. Needless to say I will be back there often.
also I updated the site with photos of the recent boards which are in the media section as well as in the board sections.
I should have two more boards done by the weekend so I should have pictures of them up soon.

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
I'm not going to be able to work on any new orders until may 9th. I have four boards that I need to finish before my final exams, and projects are due etc. Feel free to contact me in the mean time especially if you would like to get in the front of the line for when I resume building at the beginning of may.
I will still be able to answer e-mails and will likely be posting updates as I finish boards.
Also, two new models will be added to the 'boards' section of the website soon so keep an eye out for that.

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
hey, just wondering, what is the wheel clearance like on the carbon dropthrough? i ride my trucks pretty loose, and i'm wondering if i'll have bite issues with 42* randals and 76mm wheels...
Definitely love your work dude, good luck on all those finals, and i'll be happy to start discussing what my new board would look like, look for an email in the future (except no guarantees on me having enough money to buy it until mid-summer...paying for prom is such a pain)
(i know this is like my first post but i've been following/reading the fish for awhile now, haha)

I replied to your e-mail, also i just set up a carbon drop through with paris 180s and 72mm freerides and even at full lean there was quite a bit of space left
clearance
so adding an extra 2mm to the diameter wouldn't be to significant (.07in). but i'm not quite sure home much lower 40 degree plates are than 50s. I'll see if i can get my hands on a 40 degree plate to test it out.

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
Also, I am currently working with a new distributor. So the ordering section of the website is currently under construction, but will soon be up and running with most majors brands, such as, Randal, Paris, Bennett, Tracker, Ace, Revenge, Caver, Seismic, Abec 11, 3dm, Orangatang, Tunnel, Kryptonics, etc.
So I will try to have that all up and running in the next week or two. In the mean time if you are planning on ordering a board once I start building again on May 9th you can contact me for pricing on truck/wheel packages.

lol, very nice after you guys do some riding let me know what you think, its only the second board of that shape that I've made (though this one has a larger standing plateform for the back foot). also this one is sandwiched in biax where as the first just had glass on the bottom with reinforcement on the tail.
Anyway I could definitely use more feedback on the deck so let me know what you guys think.
btw, savage2424...wakesavage... I sense a pattern

Thanks for the compliment, I like to keep a low profile
edit: I'm generally not one for self promotion, you won't see me trying to force my boards down peoples throat in every other thread in the Q&A section, also you won't see me pointlessly bump my thread unless I have some sort of actual update to make. I enjoy making/riding the boards and I figure if others enjoy the boards and have a pleasant experience working with me they will spread the word etc. So far this has been working out well as I have been receiving a gradually increasing amount of interest/orders over the past few months, and I already have quite a few boards to get started on when I return to building on May 9th along with the two I still need to finish before finals. Since I wasn't able to get a mechanical engineering internship (thank you economy) I will be able to devote a lot of time to building boards and hopefully growing the business this summer, so it should be interesting to see where things go. Sorry for the long winded answer to such a simple statement .

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
Hey guys, I got everything worked out with a new distributor for trucks/wheels etc. Most major brands will be carried including, paris, randal, bennet (wheels and trucks), tracker, ace, seismic (wheels and trucks), revenge, abec 11, orangatang, 3DM, tunnel, kryptonics, gravity, and more.
I'm aiming to add functionality to the website so that you can order custom boards directly from the website along with the trucks/wheels of your choosing, and of course use e-mail for more complicated custom orders.
One thing that I need help with though is which bearings to offer, there are a ton of bearings carried by the distro but I feel like it would be redundant to offer like 8 identical ABEC 7 bearings. Theres a few that stand out that I am definitely planning on offering including; Biltins and some titanium and ceramic bearings.
I feel like I should just choose one or two brands to fill the role of the standard inexpensive skate bearing, heres a list of what offered let me know your opinions on them:
Retail around $8:
Riot gear
Rush
Retail around 11-$14:
Quickies
Speed Demon
Destructo (come with bearing spacers)
Bomber
FDK (come with bearing spacers and lube)
Retail about $20:
Lucky
Black Panther (come with bearing spacers and speed rings)
Tensor Oust Moc 5
Let me know what you think, maybe one from each price range would be good? I'm not sure.

I'm with you there, I've always just bought the cheapest bearings I could find to slap on my boards, so i'll definitely be offering the riot gear or the rush for people like me.

Actually, I shill out the extra bucks for biltins. The locked steel shields keep them spinning for months between cleanings.

Evidence of the sickness of the boards. Rides awesome, impressed with the construction, to be honest I didn't expect the level of completion. Well done.

understandible, I was just stating my personal practices I know many out there are willing to pay for a higher quality bearings which is why im going to be offering the builtins along with some ceramic/titanium bearigns. As well as a budget bearing like riot gear or rush. Then i'm hoping to get some opinions on the bearings in the in between price range to try to get an idea of which are better/more popular
