Yup that's definitely a good idea since the colors will probably be a bit different when on the wood. I don't have all of the colors on hand so I'll put in an order so that I can make a sample piece.

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
Cameron Savage's (wakesavage) Nelson Hybrid Review:
I recently worked with Nelson (SpeedDemon974) to design a version of his latest model called the Hybrid. The board is a shorter, stiffer deck that has a very functional kicktail.
Specs:
L: 37"
W:9"
WB: ~25"
Sexy: YES
Opinion:
In terms of build quality I have to be honest, I was surprised at how well the board was put together. I had made the assumption that a small builder's board for $80 wouldn't be as well built as other decks, but I was wrong. Not only is the deck itself solid as a rock, but it has a fiberglass bottom and a silica gripped top that also came as a pleasant surprise. The only thing that was not up to the highest level was the paint. For some reason it likes to scuff off/chip a little. This is not alarming, because this only happens through those rough times when any paint would take a hit, but it just seems a little less resilient.
Now for the feel of the board. Again, I have been pleasantly surprised at just how spot on this board is. I have my board set up with Holeys and Tunnel Tarantulas 82a 70mm. All bushings are Holey stock except that the front truck has a Venom Orange top. When PMing with Nelson about what I would want in a board, I asked for a light flex, something that would help with some pumping/carving, but still be a good board to slide. When first out of the box, the deck was perhaps too stiff I thought, but I figured I'd break it in first. Well, I had been wrong, 3 weeks later the flex is just about perfectly a "light" flex for my 155lbs. He asked for my weight and my preferences and made sure to make a product accordingly, well done. Finally, the concave is also spot on. I was offered two different concaves: a 3/8" and a 1/2" mold. I personally went with the 3/8" and it's been a great choice. Just enough concave to hug my feet in, but mellow enough to be relaxing and easy to stand on. Sweet.
The ride is probably the most important part, and luckily the best. With the short wheelbase, there is a quick and snappy turn. Because of the pronounced cutouts, one can run their trucks super loose, or with a slightly larger wheel. My Holey's are as loose as the last thread of the kingpin with 70mm wheels, and I haven't gotten wheelbite yet. Even with drifting/sliding/carving some pretty large hills, the wells have been well placed and sized. The kicktail is probably my favorite kick I've used (although I admittedly haven't used TOO many kicks). The platypus-style tail leaves your foot enough room to have a comfortable standing platform, but small enough to be functional for ollies. Because of the light flex, this is also a pretty good little hill-killer. I've found I can comfortably handle relatively high speeds on the Hybrid. The slight flex is just enough to dampen some of the roadnoise and give a smoother, more comforting ride at speed.
Lastly, there are two different stance options, which I found nice. Because of the nice kicktail I mentioned earlier, you can stand on the kicktail and tap into that surfy/pumpy ride. I have never really ridden this way before other than on some friends boards, but it is so much fun, and a great way to pump from a low speed, and then shift your stance up to the main standing platform for higher speed pump. Great utility if you ask me. Great fun as well. If you are a very tall person, I would suggest asking for a scaled up size of the board. I'm 6'0 and wear a size 10.5 shoe, and much more than this one may find themselves cramped on the foot platform, but for my stance, it's worked out well.
Overall, this is a well thought out, planned and constructed board. It doesn't do anything that is astronomically better than any other board with similar characteristics, but offers the best of all worlds in package that is so completely integrated that it will be hard to find a better/more fun board. Great for an all around/quiver killing deck. It lives up to its name as a hybrid. As a commuter it may be hard to beat. Quick and snappy with a good kicktail. Just the right flex for anything I'd want to do, slidable, speedable and fun. Not to mention, it is PRETTY. Nelson works with you on any graphic you want, any style you want. I had a great experience with Nelson to secure myself one of my top two boards in my 9 board quiver for half the price of most decks.

Yes, I go to MIT. But you don't need to be a genius to WEAR YOUR HELMET. Protect the one thing that will get you places in life.

I think I might be purchasing one from you. You can transfer images onto boards? I was thinking a phillies theme.

If your talking about like a print out, that is possible but I have found that the epoxy resin does not fully saturate the paper so I'm not comfortable using that as a structural layer, as in under the fiberglass. but on top of the fiberglass should work fine.
if your talking about just putting the logo on like this, , that wouldn't be a problem at all.

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
I was thinking white board with red pinstripes and nelson logo on top, and a real big liberty bell phillies logo and a small HK patch on bottom corner.

that shouldn't be a problem, I should be able to use water-slide decal paper to apply the logo. I'll do a mock up in photoshop when I get a chance.

Great I'll be in contact with you!
Also, maybe if you could figure a way too work a phillies P like the one you posted on the top of the board somehow that would be sweet.

ATTENTION Caleb
we exchanged a few e-mails talking about a custom seasoned carver with some carbon, but over the past day I have been trying to respond to your e-mail but keep getting a message back saying that the message could not be delivered, so hopefully you'll see this and if you do send me a pm or something

heres a mock up of the philies board design, you said that you wanted the standard graphic on top so you could just pick out which colors you want.
the custom graphic will cost about $10 extra but since you live in philly we can offset that by meeting up to skate or at the philly push race and avoid shipping costs if you want.

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
Also, I stained some scrap wood with all of the available stain colors to give a better idea of what they look like.

Canary Red, Lemon Yellow, Bright Green, Medium Blue, Violet, and Warm Black
