Since I have some big feet, and the board is 10.5" wide at the feet it worked fine for me but I think i need to start the concave part a bit closer to the center to work well with narrower boards and smaller feet..
yeah i feel you on the shoe size thing, ever try/thinkof doin w cave and .75"/1" of rocker?

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
i just mounted 76mm S9 race formulas on my custom dropthrough, and i get no wheelbite. I haven't gotten a chance to ride in the last couple days...and I gotta wait for a delivery to get to my home before i can go out.
pics:

that is full lean on some khiro double barrels, 92a top 85a bottom. I weigh about 170-175. those bushings are awesome for my weight...stable for bombing a hill but very carvy for a good time. I'm also running flipped 50* randals...which are the same height as unflipped 42's.
full board:

It's an amazing board. I can't even begin to describe how amazingly versatile it is...Once I get better I will probably be using this board for tech DH...throw some randal 42's on it and have a blast. Thanks again Rich!
*note: I believe my board has slightly bigger cutouts than a normal carbon dropthrough...It'd be nice if Rich or someone else could confirm this.

Hey man, i love your boards
After I rode my friends (randomblahguy) carbon dropthrogh I immediately wanted one of my own
I'm in the process of trying to acquire some money for a seasoned carver and was wondering if it costs extra to make it a dropthough?
Also, have you ever made a dancer? i was browsing the thread and didnt see any pics of one.

hey guys, I've been in bed with a 102 fever for a few days and there's a few pm's e-mails I havn't been able to respond to. I'm starting to feel a bit better, so hopefully I can respond to everyone by tomorrow.

if you were the one who was asking about a 37in drop through version, that shouldn't be a problem, as for custom graphics let me know what your thinking. I should be able to respond to your e-mail tomorrow with more details.
to Irish_, your board is pressed and cutout, I'll be starting the composites on Tuesday (I have a shipment of epoxy resin coming in that day). Since I haven't been able to start on the composites changing the colors to purple and yellow wont be a problem.
and to mootz4, I havnt been charging extra to add a drop through but Usually add extra wood or extra composites to stiffen it up a bit so it doesn't bottom out easily since its lower to the ground.

I haven't built a board with rocker yet, though I rode the FSM a bit I feel like the rocker on that board was a bit extreme and also felt a bit cramped with the standing platform, but it might just take some getting used to.

Sure, I could donate at least a mini for the prizes, I'll post in the event thread in a bit.

Thanks for the feed back, that board definitely seems like a lot of fun, how are the RFs?
as for the whees cutouts, the main thing that separates those cutouts form the ones before is the wheel wells added in with the cutouts. Once I did those I made it a standard so any carbon breakthroughs from the past month or two should have about the same wheel clearance.

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
the race forms are working out great. i haven't had a chance to break them in completely for slides and freeriding but they feel fast and roll very well. I have them in 80a. They are as wide as my flashbacks but they are centerset, reducing the track width of my board...but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It will help them from getting massively coned though...
I put some stock randal cone bushings into my trucks for a deeper turn (harder carves so i can break those wheels in more with a little less effort!) and I did get a bit of nibble with flipped hangers, i flipped them back to normal and they worked out fine. once i get a some new kingpins with shorter threads (my bushings get super shredded) I will put the double barrels back in and go bomb some hills.

The board has flatcave, to lock you in but not be to hard on your feet. Nice and wide for your front foot, with notches that will lock your feet on the edges during cornering. and widens up after the notch in case you want to plant both feet to carve a bit. Has wheel wells to accommodate 75mm wheels. And wario thrown on there by request, to go with the purple/yellow theme (if your assosiated with the nintendo legal deprtment please don't sue me )
I'm very happy with the way that it came out, and I'm looking forward to hearing some feed back when Irish_ gets it. I have another idea That i would like to incorporate into the next version of it as well.
dude that board looks so sick ill post a full review when it gets here rich =) and what was the new idea you got my brain workin

thanks a lot man, I always have ideas floating around in my head about board shapes, builtind techniques, color schemes etc. Combining that with getting to chat with the customer about what they're looking for helps produce some sweet boards.
on the topmount I also have to give some credit to nicthekid220 . he came up with a topmount design a while back, which we talked about producing but nothing came of it. so when Irsih_ was looking for a topmount i thought of that. I modified the length width, wheel cutouts, and added the wells, and the the notch. but the style of the shape can definitely be attributed to him.

Sweet man, it will be shipped Monday and should make it to you in a few days. For the next I was thinking of adding grooves under the board, in the places where you would grab rail during corners, (if your regular they would be in the top left and bottom right)
I figure It wouln't really effect the structure of the board but might the the performance a bit,

Re: ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~
I think if that topmount (skavenger?) takes off, you might consider making a dropthrough version. I think if you combined the cutouts that my custom freeride had with that shape you could have a fine dropthrough speeedboard. (add a few inches of length as well for footroom)
and for those rails, how were you thinking about doing that? (the technical aspect) because that would be pretty sweet, you could get some good grip even when you have a finger bar (if the finger bar fits in the channels)
now i'm out to go and skate and break in those race forms some more, maybe get some slide action going...even though its 109 outside in phoenix, AZ...hoo boy...
