Re: Galac Land Surfing - New Website Up Now
Hey guys,
I am new to silverfish. I am apart of the freebord community if that means anything to you... Anyways, my regular skateboard got stolen, or I just can't find it, and I have been scouring the net for something that will let me shred concrete the same way (similar) to how I ride the waves. I came across galac like 5 mins ago, and the website has me excited. It seems like a perfect match for me, as I just want to pump and carve my sidewalks and driveways. Got a few questions that may kill the excitement... When I purchase a deck, are the trucks purchased seperately? K, i guess that was the only question.

To my knowledge, Galac doesn't offer completes. Just decks and the Galacized Bennetts.

John will piece your boards together in a CNC fashion. He's a custom/handmade guy and has built me boards complete the way I like them. He doesn't offer them but he's a custom kind of guy that can pretty much build you anything!

Re: Galac Land Surfing - New Website Up Now
Well I was planning to order one of your boards John, but as luck would have it I ended up buying a previously owned but hardly run one from ameangreenbean (Steve) from Florida I'm psyched to have a dedicated Pump board now and hope it helps me learn the motions ASAP. I'll be Land Paddling with it until I can get the Pump stoke going. Any advice is always welcome. I believe this board was ordered a little thicker so what might you suggest if anything at all to compensate for the stiffer board. I'm not lightweight, but I am about 75lbs lighter then the previous owner. I plan to do the Ultraskate in April with your board if the stinkin snow would stop so I can start training.
BTW - Don't forget to come on over to Land Paddling - NO WAVES, NO WATER, NO WORRIES and become a member. I took that site over from Steve and hope to have it exploding with activity very soon. Redesigned it and already have a bunch of members without even advertising it. I have your free banner ad up so I hope it brings you some business

Thanks for the compliment on the Land Paddling site!
Do you prefer running the wheels in the rear reversed on your boards for some reason, narrower? It came with the rear seismics reversed and I wanted to see if that was prefered or just a mistake during assembly. It also had the harder purple 77mm wheels mounted in the rear and the softer blue 77mm up front which I believe is incorrect/backwards.
I have a set of 78mm orange blast waves I'd like to try, do you see any issues running them for paddling and the blue/purple speed vents for pumping?
Thanks,
Mooney
