The tech section is the most comprehsive of any site!
It will be copied over for ages to come.
Great job Johnny! Reading thru it was very very interesting. Stuff for skateboard trivia!

awesome "remodeling" John!! talk about some html skeelz...
the frankengalac would make for a smooth low-riding cruiser, but a 44" wheelbase won't be an efficient pumper. still, looks like a lotta fun! a shorter, redrilled Galac like the Balboa or the Sunset would match up with the brackets perfectly.

the wheelbase is actually ~39"
Can't really say about efficiency, but that's the best LDP board i've ever had.
...however, that board is the heaviest board in my quiver.

Re: Galac Land Surfing - New Website Up Now
Nice website. I also like the tech section and look forward to seeing it grow.
Something I've always wanted to see somewhere was a truck comparison chart that featured axle height, total height of hanger, hanger width, axle width, native turning angle, and relative plaement of axle between mounting holes. Maybe if that was something you ended up hosting we could send you data as we determined it.
Another thing, I find myself wondering about the decision to stay completely flat and without concave. Is it just a feel/performance preference or is there some philosophical consideration, such as purism?

Thanks man!

You pretty much nailed it... I'm a flat purist. The only place I I like concave
is on my pool/vert boards, but even on those I appreciate old school flat decks
like Alvas and Bulldogs thesedays.
I going to be doing some camber, and rockered boards in the future though.
But as of right now, I have no big plans for concave.
For me, and many others I know, flat decks give a more natural feel, it's
a purer connection between your feet and the board.
I know that a lot of people can't imagine riding board with no concave.
But.. i swear, once you get used to a flat deck with an extremely grippy
surface, it gives a really amazing feeling and ride.
But for some, life without concave is unimaginable, it's all good.
Honestly, I don't miss it at all... Neither did Bob Turner...

Re: Galac Land Surfing - New Website Up Now
So when will the new slalom board make an appearance?
So, no concave, that's cool, but what about a kicktail?
Lovin' the site and my LDP!
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?
