The tech section is the most comprehsive of any site!

It will be copied over for ages to come.

Great job Johnny! Reading thru it was very very interesting. Stuff for skateboard trivia!

Yeah, you're a complete whore man...
Thanks guys, I just felt like creating a tech page, i want to it to grow, I want to
have everything I can on there, it's just an infant right now... But I do hope it
becomes a service to those who need it. I want it to get more in depth as time
goes on and I accumulate more information and specs.
I also just added another page to the site, a SK8Law page.
If anyone has any links, articles or news that they feel would be of insight
to this page, just let me know and I'd be happy to add it.
    Here's the new page:

awesome "remodeling" John!! talk about some html skeelz...

the frankengalac would make for a smooth low-riding cruiser, but a 44" wheelbase won't be an efficient pumper. still, looks like a lotta fun! a shorter, redrilled Galac like the Balboa or the Sunset would match up with the brackets perfectly.

    the wheelbase is actually ~39"
Can't really say about efficiency, but that's the best LDP board i've ever had.

...however, that board is the heaviest board in my quiver.

Nice website. I also like the tech section and look forward to seeing it grow.

Something I've always wanted to see somewhere was a truck comparison chart that featured axle height, total height of hanger, hanger width, axle width, native turning angle, and relative plaement of axle between mounting holes. Maybe if that was something you ended up hosting we could send you data as we determined it.

Another thing, I find myself wondering about the decision to stay completely flat and without concave. Is it just a feel/performance preference or is there some philosophical consideration, such as purism?

You pretty much nailed it... I'm a flat purist. The only place I I like concave
is on my pool/vert boards, but even on those I appreciate old school flat decks
    like Alvas and Bulldogs thesedays.
I going to be doing some camber, and rockered boards in the future though.
But as of right now, I have no big plans for concave.
For me, and many others I know, flat decks give a more natural feel, it's
a purer connection between your feet and the board.
I know that a lot of people can't imagine riding board with no concave.
But.. i swear, once you get used to a flat deck with an extremely grippy
surface, it gives a really amazing feeling and ride.
But for some, life without concave is unimaginable, it's all good.
Honestly, I don't miss it at all... Neither did Bob Turner...

Boy John, that site is awesome!!!! I got stuck on the front page for a few too many moments though....

John's flat decks are awesome!!! I have been riding the dickens out of mine and it just gets better and better (well maye it's me getting better and better...) anyway, when I get on my slalom decks with the concave they feel really weird. Not bad, just weird. On a flat Galac I can stand on it all day long. After a while on a sharply concave deck my feet get a little "tired". That's not really the right word but I just notice the concave more. John's tech site reminded me to work on flipping my king pins. It's a nice winter's day project. I have about eight boards to do it on....

Thanks to Rodgon for that Illustration, she'll be going on the bottom
of my new slalom deck soon...
From what you said in your email, it sounds like you've lost quite a bit
of weight from pumping... That's awsome.man!

I'm going to be doing a full review soon...
Right after I got them, I got really sick for almost 3 weeks,
    a bronchitis type of cold....
But... I'm doing much better now and will have the chance
to put them through their paces this week...
I'm waiting for Ben to send me some of the "new"
softer bushign for the front truck...
But so far, I'm think I'm going to love them..
    GO GROMBIZ...

So when will the new slalom board make an appearance?
So, no concave, that's cool, but what about a kicktail?

Lovin' the site and my LDP!
