MauiLine needs a logo

I think it would be cool to incorporate some of that koa and graphite into your logo, but judging by your current designs, it looks like you might be opting for something a little simpler. I realize that the koa and graphite may not be a good idea for the logo actually on the board, but perhaps for your stickers or website. Regardless, I love seeing the updated pics of your building process...I'm gonna try to start saving up some dough...

I'm saying that Maui, himself, is looking for a simple design, judging by the three he has provided for the poll. My idea makes things a little more complex, which may not be what he wants.

easily the oval as when you get stickers made they can flow with the lines of the deck...also t shirts, pens, panties, hats, flags, mugs, biscuit tins, hankerchiefs, socks, etc etc etc........i can easily save up for a pen

usually when I think of a logo, I think of something that shows ingenuity, that makes me associate a shape or color or design with a product. None of these really do that for me (maybe it's just me).

Look at mcdonalds, you have those big arches, burger king has the words smushed in the burger. in and out has the bent arrow thing (I don't know if you guys have in and out outside of california)

What I'm saying is you need that image to be original, something everyone can identify with you. When I think of a nineball, I think of sector nine, but when I think of a green oval with **** written in it, I think of identifying shapes in elementary school

ahhh! my powerbook g4 died once again.. damn it!

this time they are replacing it with a 667mhz though! wohoo!! (that's an upgrade from my 400Mhz)

i'll get the machine in "5 buisness days" which really means a couple weeks... so, sorry dude.. no logo till my new PB get's here!

oh, and i totally agree with that association thing, you need some kind of symbol that people will associate with your company without even putting words into it. the pintail board is a good one, but i think it needs more defenition... (just my oppinion!!!!)

well, gravity has the hypercarve, sector 9 has the 9ball, tahoe has the dude on a board hangin 10, skull has, well, a skull, mauiline should have something to do with maui
