Cindrich Boards, Billet Aluminum Decks
To everyone in Long board land, My name is Dave, I'm a machinist making billet aluminum long board decks. As of now I only have one model in production, its called the "Stiffy". I intend on making a drop through DH deck soon, and I'm also in the process of making some killer billet trucks.
If you want to see what the Stiffy looks like here is a link to my eBay listing. (I haven't figured out how to get pictures in here yet.)

I just want to get people to see what i'm doing and I'd like to here back from anyone who has some advice or anything they want to say.
Thanks Dave
UPDATE: This link leads to our Catalog Pages, here on the 'Fish.

Post a review. How does the ride compare to a wood/bamboo board of similar size and shape?

The best review I can give (having not riden much else than an Arbor, and other boards i've made) is that it rides really smooth. Its scary fast, because it is a little heavier than most boards, and its a very solid fealing as you ride.
I give it a flex rating of about 2-3 from what I've learned on the "fish".
I really need to find some local dudes who are professionals and have them give it a ride.
One thing thats for sure is its different than wood.

I right-click on a image and copy the image address, then here on SF I click the symbol just right of the envelope(you see this when you hit "reply") and insert the image in the box that pops up. Then it automagically appears.

Do you have actual price lists for anything? Any other designs? Are you capable of doing a dropped deck(like an evo) with this kind of milling, or would it use too much material?

I could make a billet dropped deck, but it would cost a shlode of money. I will eventually make a DH drop through deck that's machined with lots of pockets for lots of grip.
I don't have any price list yet, most of what im doing as far as trucks are concerned are still in the developmental stages.
My decks will run about $160-$200 or so. and I hope to get several shapes available as soon as I can. As of right now I only have one.

come to think of it, I could make a drop deck that was not too expensive. I'd have to take a different aproach at it, but I think i could make it happen. I had a crazy idea of a longboard design that I could alter a little that would work.

Re: Cindrich Boards, Billet Aluminum Decks
I'm guessing the grip comes from the friction of your feet touching the edges of the holes cut out of the deck... Very interesting design, I like it
Makes me wanna go grab some plywood and do just that to see how it feels / if it works! Probably far less structural support than aluminum, though.
edit - and then I saw the swirled cutouts in the middle of the deck. Do the edges (where there are just the holes and none of the design) grip at all?

Yes, that is one of the reasons for the holes, and the little pockets in the center. Those edges grip your shoes pretty well. The other reason for the holes it to make it look cool, and to shed some weight.
I'm glad to hear you like what you see.
