I have two in 'stock'.....thats becuase my prototypes are good enough to race on, so I'm happy with using them, and the machinists made a couple of extras for their portfolio. I was able to use the prototypes to send to a couple of testers for LDP, as this run is so close to the protos I didnt need full production trucks to send out.

What we intend to do after making two more front 'semi' prototypes for the Flow team is to do a commercial run of front trucks, and a few more rears to cover any orders we get in the meantime. We will offer a discount to people who buy both trucks, either at one time, or at a later date.

Im sure you can understand that holding stock of CNC'd trucks can be expensive, but Id like to be at the situation where I have always got a few in stock and before races I attend have extras for sale to people who really want to see them in action in the flesh.

I am particularly grateful to the riders who tested the trucks and gave excellent feedback. And those riders in other countries who have ordered from this first run without even riding them, buying on trust. I feel sure that once these get out and about at meets and races orders will continue and increase to a point where we can keep a little stock.

Those that ordered from the first run are being particularly looked after as a thank you. They have extra bits in their boxes, and T shirts and stickers coming too.

Ok, we have a new batch of Virage rears scheduled to be ready March 31st, or before. We are doing a very small run of front trucks for the 'Flow' team members and a couple of other testers who really want to give the fronts a go. So we are all set for the UKs first races of 09 and the Swiss tunnel race in Zurich, and Duseldorf too.

We also have T shirts in brown with the Virage logo on front and back.

    details are at http://www.viragetrucks.com

Just wish the set that was "passed to US delivery Service" according to the tracking had got there by now... sent last week, but still less than a week in the system. Hope it arrives today.

We sent a rear Virage and a proto front with base plates to Paved Wave for testing. Not a review, but for some more 'real world' testing and feedback. We need to decide whether wider hangers are needed or whether the axle system works well with spacers to add width instead.

As for downhill versions, well we all seem to know what works in general terms, and I would be wary of producing anything that wasnt developmental or improved from current trucks out there.I have a few ideas I want to try, but as I say I want any trucks we do to be something special with new ideas in them. There are lots of good trucks out there, a Kahalami being my fave and my chums rave about Maguns, and stock Randals. Doing a CNC version of any of those is not difficult in real terms, but coming up with worthwhile improvements and innovations (such as the GOG proto) takes a few brainstorms.

Stridey, how about this for a downhill truck. Single baseplate with a start angle of 28 deg, with addable aluminium wedges that slide over a pivotable kingpin to increase the angle. The wedges could have a locking system, flanges that lock them in place to the baseplate, also locking the kingpin in position. Sorry no good with computers and can't draw very well. 8)
The hole in the wdges would also lock in the KP, also the underside of the BP could have a graduated seat for the KP head to lock against. Use the virage slalom truck hanger system, it is the dogs afetr all. JK

US Customs may think it a bomb, and my "contracted" mail carriers may try to melt it down for ingrediants in their meth lab.

I will let you know as soon as I have it Michael.

We have the Virage production front truck ready, small mods include:
    1) Flat face in the hanger to accept Venom Eliminator bushings, which have scallops in them to fit spherical bearings.
    2) 55 degree angle, with 'tall' baseplate to minimise riser use.
    3) Virage logo machined on the face.
    4) Design of the slot where the head of the Khiro Grade8 kingpin goes is machined to mimic the tombstone design of the rear trucks baseplate, a little touch, but nice...

We also have machined 5 and 3 degree baseplates, The complement the Virage but are designed to fit in well with other trucks, rather than be machined to match perfectly the Virage. The holes in the taller end are slightly ovalled to allow for the angle of bolts and baseplate, to prevent bending. again, a small but neat touch.

They will be on the Virage website over the weekend for final pricing and ordering.

Ha ha, that reminds me of the man whos wife 'sold herself' to make ends meet. One evening she came back with two hundred dollars and 25 cents.....when he asked " who on earth gave you 25 cents?" she replied...................."all of them!"
